Hello and welcome all to Richer Sounds Exeter.
Our store has had a face-lift over the last 12 months to accommodate our huge range of LCD/plasma flat panels. We have over 30 screens currently on display for your viewing delight, but we are also stacked to the roof with delicious AV and hi-fi, which ranges from the lower budget to amazing deals on award winning equipment.
We pride ourselves on making every customer feel welcome! We’ll provide you with a hot or cold drink and give you a bit of space to take in the shops atmosphere and/or pamper to your every need.
Shopping at Richer Sounds Exeter is a unique experience which will make you satisfied that you have left the store with all your needs fulfilled and your questions answered. This kind of shopping experience you only get from a matured and knowledgeable company such as ourselves and is not like the ‘fast food type’ experience you get from the local cash & carry, or shopping centre!
Our store is located at the very top of Sidwell Street on the Black Boy Roundabout, 150 yards up from the Odeon cinema. We are a five minutes walk from the city centre and 10 minutes from Exeter central train station.
There is also ample parking in one of two car parks; the closest is situated on the opposite side of the roundabout to the store (1 min away). If there are no spaces there, then you can try the King William car park, which is half way between us and Debenhams on Sidwell Street (3 mins away).

 Billy, Store Manager
Billy is a long standing Richer Sounds Manager, with many years of experience under his belt, his enthusiasm and knowledge is endless. Whether looking at hi-fi or home cinema, Billy is fluent in both genres, with a great ear for hi-fi and a creative eye for product suitability. His charming way and generous nature welcomes all. He’s also been known to give customers a hug too! Oops sorry that was mug!
 Mark, Deputy Manager
Our new Deputy Manger has spent 4 years at Plymouth, and now aims to offer his services to Exeter. He has walked all the way from when he was a kid, learning pretty young. After he arrived, he had a shave and a shower – and then contemplated the surroundings. Intentionally short witted, his levels of care free banter are far greater than any Lord of the Rings Character – or anything like that. A gem, or a diamond – however you describe him – Mark is in town.
 James, Marketing Manager / Senior Sales Assistant
James has been with us now nearly 2 years, he was made the marketing manager recently due to his flamboyant attitude. His main love is his vinyl and CD collection which ranges from The Butterfield Blues Band to his favourite artist Bob Dylan (he can really go on about Bob, so don't get him started) and bang up to date with the The Black Keys. He started out purchasing hugely oversized/overpriced antique speakers, which probably sounded great 30 years ago, but was converted when he started at Richer Sounds and opened his eyes to the future. This guy has got real passion about hi-fi! He offers every customer a friendly and welcoming experience, so come and see him, but just don't mention Bobby D!

Steve has oodles of hi-fi/AV knowledge, and is oozing with info to help you get the best from your system. He's a smooth talking charmer who'll ensure your visit to us is a real pleasure.
Jamie, Sales Consultant
Jamie has recently returned to the Exeter store after a year travelling the world. His energy and charm made it an easy choice to bring him back to the fold. His knowledge of hi-fi is huge coupled with his love of music which he enjoys passing on to others with enthusiasm and detail. So for all your hi fi or home entertainment wishes, Jamie's always happy to help.
Dan, Sales Advisor
He’s our latest recruit; Dan has worked in the store in another capacity for the last couple of years, but has now been taken on a sales colleague, he has the advantage of being the youngest of the bunch. Which makes him extremely keen, always full of the up most enthusiasm for new technologies; he has very good knowledge of hi-fi/AV, which you will find out if you have a chat with him. Being so full of energy we are hoping to attach him to some kind of dynamo, so he can light the shop and hopefully help the environment in some small way.
