Fulfilling the role as either large monitor or small TV, the 3D LG DM2780 is a totally unique product.

Until now, if you wanted 3D entertainment from your TV then you had to look at a screen size of at least 32 inches or LG's own 23 inch DM2350. Now, thanks to the DM2780, it's possible to get a 3D TV that bridges the size gap. With a TV of this size, it's possible to have 3DTV in a small living room, bedroom, kitchen or even as a luxury computer monitor.

Using LG's renowned, passive, cinema TV, the DM2780 has many benefits over other 3D TVs. For a start, passive 3D TV is considered more comfortable to watch with no flicker - this has been certified by TUV and Intertek. Flicker-free viewing means no more dizziness, nausea, or discomfort. Other technical advantages include a wider viewing angle and brighter images. Then there's the cost and convenience consideration to take into account. The glasses are much cheaper and also considerably lighter to wear. The lack of batteries onboard also means they don't have to be recharged. Of course, being passive doesn't in any way affect the immersive experience of 3D TV. You still get the vivid, projecting images and the reach-in depth that appears to make the screen "disappear".

The LG DM2780 also features 2D to 3D conversion. Simply put, this means that any source can be viewed in 3D! Added to this is 3D Effect Mode. This sharpens the borders of dark images to give the impression of even greater depth and sharper images. Whether you're watching in 3D or 2D, the DM2780's screen is impressive. LED backlighting not only makes it slim but also gives exceptional brightness and an amazing Contrast Ratio of 7,000,000:1.

Considering its compact dimensions, the LG DM2780 sounds better than you might imagine. Surround X gives a more spacious sound than many other sets of this size. There's also an optical output and headphone socket if you prefer to use another sound source such as a soundbar or plinth.

When it comes to other connections, this 27" 3DTV has everything you're likely to need. Twin HDMI sockets are complimented by component, SCART and a PC input - making this TV ideal for use as combined TV/Monitor.

With its slim surround and sculptured stand, the LG DM2780 also happens to be one of the best looking TVs in its class - whether 2D or 3D. For big 3D thrills from compact dimensions, the LG DM2780 is in a class of its own.

Note - One pair of included 3D glasses are flip-down type for existing glasses wearers.
