This page is intended to demonstrate the incredible value of our 6 Year Supercare. Under recent legislation, we are obliged to point out that you obviously do not need to purchase an extended warranty at the same time you purchase your electrical goods and are entitled to shop around. We have been encouraging our customers to do just that for years because, not only are our prices significantly cheaper than our competitors, but just look at what else we include:

Free loan machine (only if taken back to store)
Should you encounter a problem, just ask and you'll be provided with a unit to ensure you're not without music whilst your equipment is being fixed.

Like for like machine if unit is unrepairable
If, for any reason, we are unable to repair your unit, we'll replace it. Naturally, models do change so, while we can't guarantee that it will be the same model, we do guarantee that it will have equivalent specifications.

Free routine service / Maintenance checks
have your unit serviced as often as you wish, free of charge, during the 6 year period. (Normally excluded from extended guarantees).

45 day cooling off period
If you're not happy with our 6 Year Supercare package just ask for a full refund - no questions asked. After 45 days, providing no claim has been made, you can also terminate the agreement and receive a pro-rata refund.

If you use the policy in the 6 years, you'll have saved yourself tens and perhaps hundreds of pounds. If you don't use it...IT WON'T COST YOU A THING!*

* Simply return your unused Supercare policy within one month of the expiration date, and we'll refund the price of your warranty.

With a long-held reputation for superior budget amplifiers, the Denon PMA520AE comes with impressive pedigree.

Designed for European ears

At the heart of this European sound-tuned amplifier are features to create a dynamic and well-balanced sound. High-current transistors and a high-capacity power supply circuit give the PMA520 a powerful, punchy sound, while clean, short signal paths and improvements to the volume circuitry help it sound precise and articulate. The fully discrete amplifier stage and separate analogue power supply ensure fine detail is faithfully reproduced and distortion is kept to a minimum.

Vibration-resistant design
With its solid metal casing and large, anti-vibration feet, the PMA520AE is well equipped to resist sources of mechanical interference. The aluminium front panel helps reduce electrical interference, especially from sources such as light dimmers and fluorescent bulbs. As you'd expect from Denon, the quality of finish is impeccable, with smooth edges, solid construction and well-damped controls.

Plenty of features
Despite its focus on sound quality, the PMA520AE still has more than enough features. For those with record decks there's a built-in phono stage, plus four line level inputs and a recording in/out loop. Tone controls, a headphone socket and a system remote control makes up a strong spec.

With its smooth, powerful sound, unrivalled construction quality and useful range of features, it's hard not to see how the PMA520AE could be anything other than another impressive budget Denon amp - a tough act to follow.

Rated 4 out of 5 Sound purchase for the money Looks good (as if that matters) and operates well. Sound is pretty good bearing in mind the cost - I'd dropped from a Cambridge Audio A640v2 to this and can tell the difference but as the 640A has packed up and I'm getting bored of mid-range amps promising the world I thought I'd try something cheaper and I'm not disappointed.I've not tried the phono stage (and probably won't as I've a Cambridge Audio phono amp). Remote is ok for the money. Only niggles are the cheap looking transformer that can be seen through the casing (and there's no way I'd run another device off the back 240V outlet), and the remote is far easier to use than the dial selector on the front of the amp. 08 September 2015
Rated 3 out of 5áby Hmm... I bought this product along with the Wharfedale diamond 9 speakers. The sound is adequate but I wouldn't rate them higher than that and I picked up some Panasonic RP-HH225 headphones too. Soon as I rigged up the amp and speakers I thought it sounded okay, nothing special. Through the Panasonic headphones the sound is muffled at best. My advice would be to invest in better speakers and headphones if your budget allows. To be honest I am pretty disappointed with the set up but what do you expect for just over ú200! 31 August 2015
Rated 4 out of 5áby Good value for money Early days as I have not had this product very long. However it does all I could want from a basic amplifier. I am pleased with the sound quality. I was impressed with how quickly it was delivered after ordering. Full marks to Richer sounds for this 12 August 2015
Rated 5 out of 5áby Great amp from a great company at a great price This amp has helped to bring my vinyl back to life, great sound and with enough features to give you a little more control of your listening experience. 04 August 2015
Rated 5 out of 5áby Excellent performance on a budget Let's face it, most of us will only ever be able to lust after really high end equipment so it's great that there are manufacturers like Denon (and suppliers like Richer Sounds) who put out great gear at sensible prices. I bought the PMA-520AE along with the Denon DCD-520 CD player and a pair if Q Acoustic 2010i speakers. My set up is completed by a second hand AR Legend turntable. To my ears, this set up is delivering amazing sound quality and handles several genres with aplomb -- rock, jazz, folk and classical. Both Denon separates come with the same remote control which at first glance seems to be more complicated than it needs to be. Your mileage may vary. Overall I am extremely happy with my updated audio equipment. 20 June 2015
Rated 3 out of 5áby Disappointing Bought this PM520 from the Richer Sounds web site based on the numerous favourable reviews as our local branch didn't have it in stock, and I was looking to replace a (very) old Cambridge Audio A1. Sadly, for me the sound quality lacked the clarity and dynamic range that I was hoping for, and the loudness contour seemed to make the sound worse. Fortunately, with the fantastic service of Richer Sounds I was able to exchange the PM520 for a Cambridge Audio AM5 which to me is a far superior sound experience. Although the Denon offers more features, I would suggest anyone looking in this price range should audition both amps and make their own decision on the sound quality. 08 June 2015
Rated 5 out of 5áby Denon PMA520AE Fantastic!! This item was bought to replace a DENON PMA-250 which i purchased back in 1989. Having given me many years of great sounds it was starting to fail, so the hunt began for a replacement. Having read numerous reviews of various amplifiers i decided to go for the DENON PMA520AE and i have not been disappointed with my choice. A powerful amp which i would highly recommend, Punchy bass and clear treble which would compliment any stereo separates system. Combine with a first class service from Richersounds and you won't go far wrong. 05 June 2015
