Denon quality without the frills: the Denon AVR1513 is the perfect starter AV receiver.

QUALITY SOUND

As you'd expect from Denon, the AVR1513 has been designed with sound quality as a priority. At the heart of the AVR1513 is fully discrete amplification. By using discrete (separate) components rather than an IC chip, superior quality components can be used for a more detailed sound quality. With a large power transformer and aluminium heatsink, the AVR1513 is also capable of producing a high power output whilst remaining cool. With 75 watts (110 watts at 6 ohms) for each of the 5 channels, the AVR1513 is one of the more powerful and better sounding AV receivers in its class.

SUPPORT FOR HIGH DEFINITION AUDIO AND 3D

With support for both Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD, the Denon AVR1513 is the ideal partner for your Blu-ray player. Being able to offer high definition sound decoding gives you the sound quality to match the high definition images now available from most TVs and sources. Additionally, 3D pass through lets you pass through 3D signals from Blu-ray, Sky or other sources to your 3D-equipped TV.

COMPREHENSIVE CONNECTIONS

As a step-up from a one-box system, the Denon AVR1513 has all that you're likely to need from a starter AV receiver. There are three HDMI sockets on the rear plus one on the front - ideal for occasionally connected sources such as camcorders. There're also optical, coaxial and analogue audio inputs for a wide range of other non-HD sources. A 3.5mm jack input on the front is ideal for connecting your portable device. Once connected, the Compressed Music Restorer function enhances the sound quality of even the most compressed digital music. It won't sound as good as uncompressed music but it will sound better than before.

EASY TO USE

Well aware that this might be your first separate AV receiver, Denon have made the AVR1513 as easy to use as possible. Thanks to its GUI (Graphic User Interface) display, setting up and using the Denon AVR1513 is easier than you might think. The GUI lets you keep an overview of the settings even whilst watching a film. The Quick Select button gives fast access to preset volume levels for different sources - ideal for when you regularly switch between TV and Blu-ray.

AV-ART. CREATED BY DENON

In the past, AV receivers haven't been the most elegantly styled consumer electronics. The new Denon AV-Art range seeks to redress this. With its clean lines and simple, uncluttered styling, the Denon AVR1513 finally brings a little style to the sector.

Good-looking, easy to use but, above all, a great listen, the Denon AVR1513 is a fantastic introduction to the joys of home cinema.
