"The Yamaha RXV375 is an excellent AV receiver that prioritises the most important thing of all: sound." What Hi-Fi Sound & Vision.

TOP QUALITY DISCRETE AMPLIFICATION

This might be Yamaha's most basic AV receiver but that doesn't prevent it from boasting some pretty impressive electronics for its price. First and foremost, the RXV375 features a discrete amplifier with low jitter PLL (Phase-Locked Loop) circuitry for higher quality audio, that's especially noticeable with music. Discrete rather than chip-based amplification offers a wide range of benefits including the potential for a more dynamic and powerful sound. The amplifier also delivers a handy 70 watts per channel (6 ohms) which is ample for most needs and a massive improvement on most TVs' own audio systems.

POWERFUL PROCESSING

As you'd expect from Yamaha, the digital processing is also first rate. In addition to full HD Audio decoding of both Dolby and DTS formats, the RXV375 features Yamaha's famous DSP Surround programs. With 17 modes from The Roxy Theatre to a concert Hall in Munich, the RXV375 gives a variety of acoustic settings simply not available on rivals. Added to this, SCENE selections ensure that you always have the correct setting when watching films or listening to music. At the touch of a button you can quickly and easily call up one of four preset settings - ideal for when you want a different sound from games console and TV.

ENHANCED CONNECTIVITY

The Yamaha RXV375 features 4K pass-through for the HDMI sockets. With 4K screens beginning to make more of an appearance this year, by equipping this Yamaha AV receiver with 4K pass-through sockets, Yamaha have engineered in a degree of future proofing. The 4 HDMI inputs are also 3D Ready and support Audio Return Channel (ARC) functionality for reduced cabling. The RXV375 is also equipped with a front-mounted USB interface. It might not look much, but this little socket will transform the sound quality from your iPod or iPhone. By connecting to the USB, you'll benefit from a digital connection. This gives a direct signal and, hence, purer sound quality than using a conventional dock or analogue input. Another great feature is that it will also charge your iPod or iPhone - even when the receiver is switched off, in standby!

EASY TO USE

With YPAO sound optimisation and colour onscreen display, the Yamaha RXV375 isn't the daunting prospect to operate that you might expect. YPAO uses the supplied microphone to measure your room's acoustics and then sets the various parameters to suit. All this is done within just a few minutes and gives professional results at the touch of a button. The GUI (Graphical User Interface) makes all aspects of the receiver easy to control.

OTHER GREAT FEATURES

Other great features with this Yamaha AV receiver include Compressed Music Enhancer and A/V lip sync function. Compressed Music Enhancer improves the sound from MP3 sources such as computer audio or iPods/iPhones, giving them enhanced detail at the top end and lower bass. A/V lip sync function ensures you get a perfect match between the image of dialogue on your TV and the actual sound from your speakers. Finally, the RXV375 comes with an ECO mode and low standby power consumption, ensuring it's amongst the most energy efficient in its class.

As an introduction to the joys of home cinema separates, it doesn't get much better than this.

Rated 4.8 out of 5áby 37 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5áby Easy to set up, great piece of kit for the price This is the first A/V receiver I have owned, previously everything in 'entertainment corner' i.e. PS3, cable box and PC all ran through an all in one Samsung DVD player via HDMI and audio switch boxes (don't hate me, it was budget reasons). So, after buying a PS4 with no analogue output I decided it was time to up the ante, but still didn't want to break the bank. Anyway, setting up was doddle. I got everything wired up pretty quickly, let it run it's own set up for the audio, job done. The sound stage is brilliant, so much better than my previous set up. I'm not over impressed with all the different DSP settings. I'm just leaving it on 'straight' for now, but I do need to upgrade my speakers so that could have something to do with it. I gave Audio quality a 4 simply as I am reviewing my set up. Not much else to say really, I can't believe I've left it this long to get a receiver. 07 September 2014
Rated 5 out of 5áby An excellent budget AV Amp from a tried & tested manufacturer This was a replacement unit for my Arcan AVR100 which after approx 15 years had developed a fault. The Arcam unit, when purchased was ú800, so a replacement unit had to be decent. The unit however is just used for TV & occasional DVD, rather than as the centre of a high grade music system.. With this in mind & the speakers set up as large, although Def Tech Monitor 80's are physically small, the unit performed excellently. During quiet or silent periods of broadcast, I believe the Yamaha was better than the Arcam for hiss. The only minus I found was that my speaker cable was a little large for the spring clip connectors, but this was not a major issue. Because the RXV375 is last years product & the RXV377 is now available Richer Sounds had the unit at ú150 in stead of ú250. What a bargain & at that price, I believe unbeatable value for money. 02 September 2014
Rated 5 out of 5áby Great AV Amp for money! Great AV Amp for money! Outstanding performance and value 27 August 2014
Rated 5 out of 5áby The best budget AV receiver i have ever heard Amazing audio quality at an amazing price. More than enough inputs and outputs. A must buy for an budget audio visual system. The only con is that the center, surround left and right speakers have spring clip terminals. 24 August 2014
Rated 4 out of 5áby A little bit underwhelmed. Was thinking a while about getting this receiver. I only want a basic home cinema setup and this looked ideal. Checked yesterday to see the price had dropped a further ú20. A no brainer then. Set up straight forward. 5.1 performance well good for the money. Even playing a CD on my sony blue ray was acceptable. One niggle though. The volume when playing music through the front auxiliary connections isn't very loud. I would go as far as to say it sounded a bit muffled. Connecting my mobile phone and iPod was a disappointing experience. Perhaps it can be adjusted in the settings. Need to play around in there a bit more and see. Good service from the guys at RS Glasgow. 23 August 2014
Rated 5 out of 5áby value for money easy to set up, plenty of features, works great with surround sound and 2 ch stereo music which is what i wanted. Drives my Audio Mass speakers very well even though output is 100 w ( 8 ohms), appears to have better separation than my previous amp on well know films, hdmi loop through can be a pain as u need amp on to get picture, so if u hook up Sky via amp and u have kids it can get confusing for them. I have been in the audio buisness for many years both installing and repairing and find it hard to think if you spend 3 times the amount you will be hard pressed to hear any difference,,,! 17 August 2014
Rated 4 out of 5áby Good value. Great sound quality if you have a decent speaker set up. I think you would have to spend over ú500 to beat it. Only reason for buying another would be online features.. Which I don't use. 17 August 2014
Rated 5 out of 5áby Brilliant bit of kit This is the first time I have purchased an AV receiver, replacing an all in one out of the box 5.1 speaker system and I have to admit I am very impressed. It's connectivity is a real strong point, plenty of HDMI ports mean that I have been able to do away with all my optical leads and I run everything now through HDMI. Set up was easy andI used the microphone to set up my speakers. Having not used the system for too long I can't really say too much about it as I'm still exploring the settings but overall I am impressed so far. 15 August 2014
