Following on from the already impressive DMP-BDT110, the Panasonic DMP-BDT310 adds even more to make this one of the most appealing players in its class. Enhanced sound quality, twin HDMI sockets and Touch Free control boost this five-star Blu-ray. As before, the main appeal of the DMPBDT310 is the processing that supports 3D films in Full HD, with no compromise on frame resolution. This means that you can watch 3D films to their full potential resolution.

In addition to Full HD 3D compatibility, the Panasonic DMP-BDT310 comes with a host of Panasonic technical enhancements. Featuring PHL Reference Chroma Processor Plus, the DMP-BDT310 precisely processes each pixel of the Blu-ray disc to give stunning picture clarity. Another exciting picture enhancement is Panasonic's 4:4:4 picture processing. When used with a compatible VIERA TV, this feature processes each pixel in both horizontal and vertical directions for greater image realism and stability. In short, whatever the film, you'll find the Panasonic DMP-BDT310 delivers a class-leading picture performance - whether 2D or 3D.

Where the DMP-BDT310 really scores over its rivals is in terms of sound quality. The "High Clarity Sound" of the DMPBDT310 offers a cleaner audio signal path for an improvement in detail. Added to this is Panasonic's Digital Tube Sound for a valve-like, mellifluous sound quality. The Panasonic DMP-BDT310 is also compatible with VIERA CAST. VIERA CAST lets you access YouTube, Picasa and other Internet sites via a special screen and using the built-in wireless or Ethernet connections. DLNA compatibility allows you to stream content from other DLNA sources such as your computer or NAS (Network Attached Storage) drive. Other great features include both SD card and twin USB inputs for full compatibility with a wide range of digital media. A new and very novel feature is the Touch-Free Sensor for the draw. This makes opening and closing the draw much easier - especially in darker conditions where the open/close switch can be hard to locate.

For home cinema fans one of the best features is the adoption of twin HDMI sockets. This gives you the choice of using twin displays or feeding separate feeds to AV receiver and TV - ideal if your AV receiver doesn't have 3D pass through.
