"The Boston Acoustics A-25s are thoroughly likeable, happy in a variety of positions and able to deliver poised, expansive and detailed sound." What Hi-Fi Sound & Vision magazine.
Fresh from a 5-Star review, the Boston Acoustics A25 speakers have certainly been a hit with the reviewers - and it's not hard to see why. They might be small, but the scale of sound from these compact speakers could well surprise you. Thanks to a high quality cabinet and drive units plus extensive tuning, the A25's are pretty special.
The cabinet may be compact but, thanks to the acoustically tuned bass reflex port, it delivers a surprisingly powerful and full-bodied bass. The profiled edges also help to sharpen the soundstage, giving a great sense of realism. As a neat finishing touch, the grilles attach magnetically for a clean, uncluttered appearance.
Helping to provide both powerful bass and realistic mid-range is the ceramic/glass fibre polymer woofer. Using what Boston Acoustics call a DCD (Deep Channel Design) woofer chassis, provides the A25 speakers with extended cone travel and, therefore, the potential for powerful bass from a small cone. Matching this impressive bass unit is an equally fine treble unit. Boston's Kortec soft dome tweeter helps give the A25's the perfect balance between detail and refinement at the top end.
Finished in a smart, contrasting, gloss and matte black, the A25s will fit in harmoniously with most hi-fi systems. For a small speaker that punches well beyond its weight yet does so with refinement, the Boston Acoustics A25 is a class-leader.
