"Yet again, Tannoy's dual-concentric driver confirms its timeless benefits" Hi-Fi Choice magazine.
SIGNATURE ATTENTION TO DETAIL
Coming from the Signature range, the Revolution Signature DC6 features a very high quality crossover. Tannoy DMT (Differential Material Technology) is used to damp the audiophile grade polypropylene capacitors in the HF feed and low loss laminated core inductors have been selected for the LF section. The internal wiring is silver plated high purity oxygen free copper, with high current bi-wire terminals. The upshot of this is as little resistance as possible, giving you greater clarity and purer detail.
QUALITY DRIVE UNITS MAKE FOR EXCEPTIONAL SOUND
Making use of Tannoy's famous Dual Concentric drive units, the DC6 sounds exceptionally open and spacious. By placing the tweeter within the throat of the main woofer, the DC6 gives a single point source for critical high and mid-range frequencies. The result is a consistency and realism of vocals that you'd be hard pushed to find from many rivals. The tweeter itself is a titanium dome unit that gives exceptional detail without sounding brash or harsh. The woofer uses conventional pulp paper with a long throw surround for effortless power and a wide spread of sound. With a cone that's fifty percent larger than the smaller DC4, the DC6 model also has an added dimension of bass depth and weight.
A CABINET WITH CURVES IN ALL THE RIGHT PLACES
Featuring curved sides with trapezoidal cabinet construction, the DC6 doesn't just look good, it minimises resonances and internal reflections, too. This helps reduce the muffled and boxy sound that you can get from some speakers. The cabinet itself also features extensive internal bracing for improved rigidity, helping improve the realism of sound still further.
For a top quality hi-fi speaker in a small or medium sized room, the Revolution Signature DC6 deserves to be taken for a spin.
