    The Cambridge Audio Azur 550c CD player follows on from the award-winning 540c with an upgraded technical spec and a sleek new look.

    As before, the Azur 550c features bespoke, audiophile engineering to provide class-leading sound quality. At the heart of the 550c is a quality, audio-only transport that is free from the usual compromises found in competitors CD/DVD-ROM transport solutions. Driving this transport is a highly sophisticated S3 Custom Servo. Using surface mount technology for shorter signal paths gives the 550c CD player excellent levels of detail retrieval and low levels of jitter. Once again, the Wolfson WM8740 DAC is used but this time it is coupled to a new version of Cambridge Audio's Double Virtual Earth Balanced filter topology. New to this player is the ability to select your choice of filters for a sharp or slow roll off. Put together, these changes combine to make the Cambridge Audio 550c the new class-leader.

    When it comes to build quality, Cambridge Audio have upped the ante again. Having already set the standard for rivals with its aluminium front panel and rigid metal case, the 550c takes finish quality one stage further with a seamless casing joint and higher contrast buttons.

    Already a well-equipped CD player with one of the best remote controls in the business, the 550c improves upon its predecessors with CD Text. Finally, whether you choose black or silver, the 550c is one green CD player! With a standby power consumption of less than 1W, the 550c is EnergyStar approved for its frugal use of power.

Under recent legislation, we are obliged to point out that you obviously do not need to purchase an extended warranty at the same time you purchase your electrical goods and are entitled to shop around. We have been encouraging our customers to do just that for years because, not only are our prices significantly cheaper than our competitors, but just look at what else we include:

    • Free Loan Machine (only if taken back into store) Should you encounter a problem, just ask and you'll be provided with a unit to ensure you're not without music whilst your equipment is being fixed.
    • Like for like machine replacement if unit is unrepairable If, for any reason, we are unable to repair your unit, we'll replace it. Naturally, models do change so, while we can't guarantee that it will be the same model, we do guarantee that it will have equivalent specifications.
    • Free Routine Servicing / Maintenance Checks Have your unit serviced as often as you wish, free of charge, during the 5 year period. (Normally excluded from extended guarantees).
    • 45 Day Cooling Off Period If you're not happy with our 5 Year Supercare package just ask for a full refund - no questions asked. After 45 days, providing no claim has been made, you can also terminate the agreement and receive a pro-rata refund.

    DELIVERY INFORMATION

    All orders are shipped via our friends at City Link, except high value desirable items such as plasma and LCD TVs over 37 inches, which are sent fully insured with a specialist carrier.

    If this is your first order with us, please ensure that the only address you enter is the credit card billing address, as this is the only address to which we can deliver. If you have previously placed an order on our website, you will be offered an alternative delivery address if your order value is
    less than £500. Also, ensure you only click the submit order button once, as it will take a minute or so to process.

    Delivery occurs within 5 working days. If after this time you have still to take receipt of your order email webaftersales@richersounds.com providing your order number, name, address, and brief details of what you ordered. We strive to answer all queries within a working day, although at busy times we do ask that you bear with us. Please submit your query only once, as repeated emails/telephone calls only serves to slow down our response time and can result in further delays to your order.

    All deliveries must be signed for. They will NOT be left in garages, sheds, outside loos, porches etc. You must examine the goods before signing for them to ensure they are in good condition - if packaging is damaged please do not accept goods. Instead notify us as soon as possible. If there is no-one in to sign for the goods, they will be taken back to the courier depot and a card left.

    If we are out of stock of an item or there is a problem, we will contact you as soon as is possible.
