"This is a fine player for the money, and a worthy rival to the Award-winning Marantz." What Hi-Fi Sound & Vision magazine.

Cambridge Audio's audiophile quality Azur range kicks off with the 351C and, it's plain to hear, this CD player is truly passionate about sound.

SUPERB QUALITY DAC AND OTHER COMPONENTS

As you'd expect from the Cambridge Audio Azur range, the 351C has a class-leading technical spec. A Wolfson WM8728 DAC is coupled to a 2-pole Sallen-Key Butterworth filter. This complex sounding component is key to the 351C's warm, fluid performance and its measurable purity and detail. Furthermore, a highly accurate master clock oscillator and impedance-matched clock buffering schemes further contribute to the amount of data it is possible to extract from a CD. Like its 351A amplifier partner, the 351C also benefits from a superior toroidal transformer which offers much lower noise and waveform distortion than lower cost laminate transformers which are more commonplace amongst the competition.

UNIQUE S3 SERVO TECHNOLOGY

Just as important as the DAC to a CD's sound quality is the transport. Cambridge Audio have careful selected a high quality mechanism for excellent mechanical performance. This is then coupled to Cambridge Audio's third generation proprietary S3 servo solution which dynamically adjusts the focussing, tracking and output level of the laser in real time. This in turn enables maximum retrieval of disc data, guarantees extremely low jitter and delivers amazingly dynamic sound.

CLASS-LEADING CASEWORK QUALITY

It's not just the inside of the Cambridge Audio Azur 351C that impresses, it's the outside, too. The smooth, wrap-around casing doesn't just look good, it makes the player extremely rigid and resilient to mechanical interference. The thick aluminium front panel helps resist electrical interference from sources such as light dimmers and fluorescent bulbs.

If you're passionate about music then you'll appreciate the Azur 351C's passionate sound quality - it's certainly one of the best spinners in its class.

Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 20 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 Sits well with existing separates. The Cambridge Azur CD player has turned out to be an excellent purchase. Sound quality is great and so easy to use. 27 March 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by If you after a quality sound then look no further then the 351C Right out of the box this player sounded great but a day of warming up and it sounds amazing, clear concise soundstage and imaging, open revealing sound and very engaging. I use it with a 651A and a pair of keff Q60's and am just blown away at the sound :) 26 March 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very good sound I have only had this CD player a couple of weeks, but the build quality and sound quality is very good 22 March 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by bang on value Very good quality, very smart looking unit.Very easy to use and a great sound.Would recommend to everyone. 25 March 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Superb sound and value from this player! It's a cliché, but it sounds like a new cd collection. Detailed, clear soundstage balanced across the frequency range; crisp highs and deep controlled bass without sacrificing the mid-range. Just gets better as it runs in. Much more refined than the Marantz and the allegedly higher spec 651 player from Cambridge Audio. Praise also for the patience and obvious musicality of the staff at Holborn branch of Richer Sounds on the day I auditioned this player; it was a really relaxed and pleasurable experience. 28 January 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by One up on Marantz I am pleased to say this one plays CDs and very well indeed, this was purchased to replace a Marantz CD6005 that is also very good.... except it when it refused to play the third slightly damaged CD I was sorely disappointed. The same CDs play with out missing a beet on the 351C, detailed, rock solid image and I am very satisfied. One small grip the batteries supplied with the remote control don't make electrical contact when fitted in the RC so had to use my own. 08 January 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Glad I stuck with Cambridge Audio Bought online without demo. Shopped with Richer Sounds for many years. Replacing my Cambridge Audio D-500 special edition. I thought the 351C would be better than my D-500, I under estimated how much better ! Paired with Denon AVR X- 2000 and Tannoy Mecrury V4. I now know, just how good the Denon can be with stereo music. The sound is crisp and punchy without being brash. Detail is superb. I was considering a few other players...Glad I didn't choose one of them. 29 December 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product representing outstanding value. I needed a replacement for my old Technics CD player eventually purchasing the 351C. I have connected this unit to my classic NAD 3020A amp and they work well together playing my eclectic mix of music with consummate ease. The build quality is very good as is the smoothness of operation which leads me to conclude why most potential purchasers of CD Players would need to spend any more than this. The friendly sales assistant guided me towards this particular make and model without being remotely pushy, I'm glad I heeded his advice. 14 November 2014
