Add dimension to your viewing experience with the Panasonic DMR-BWT700.
The Panasonic DMRBWT700 is absolutely packed with features, most impressive of which has to be the 3D up-convertor. Simply connect to your 3D TV via HDMI and you can view not just 3D Blu-rays but also up-converted 2D Blu-rays, DVDs, TV and even photos! A 3D depth controller also lets you adjust the extent of the conversion so that you can get a good balance between depth and realism.
Aside from the 3D conversion, the Panasonic DMR-BWT700 comes equipped with twin Freeview HD tuners - making it ideal as a replacement for not just your Blu-ray and DVD players, but also your set-top box/PVR, too. In addition to free HD channels from the BBC, ITV and Channel 4, the DMRBWT700 will still receive the usual standard Freeview TV and radio services, meaning you don't miss out on your existing channels: High Definition TV through your standard aerial for free! Twin tuners give you the flexibility to watch a different channel to the one you're recording or record two channels at the same time!
When it comes to recording, this Panasonic offers you a choice of Blu-ray or hard drive. Record on to Blu-ray and you have an ultra-high quality recording that will not just maintain your recording for decades to come but also maintain it at the highest level of audio and video quality currently available. In short, if you want to hang on to a recording, perhaps of a favourite film or personal recording, such a wedding, then Blu-ray is the way to go. For more general use, the 320GB disk drive is ideal. Choose between around 100 hours of HD recording or up to several hundred hours at Standard Definition - or any combination.
A very handy addition is the built-in SD card reader. Use the SD card from your camera or phone to archive photos and video onto the hard disc or Blu-ray. From here you can, of course, also have them up-converted to 3D!
Keeping this recorder bang up-to-the minute, the DMR-BWT700 also comes with Panasonic's Viera Cast and DLNA streaming. Connect up to your home network hub via Ethernet or optional wireless dongle and you can enjoy access to a wide variety of apps, including YouTube and Skype. DLNA streaming also allows you to stream material from your PC, laptop, NAS drive or other DLNA connected device.
Finally, should you have an iPhone or iPod Touch, then there's a app available to turn your device into a comprehensive remote control!
Taken all that in? Probably not! So here's a brief rundown of the main features of this multi-talented recorder.
