If you're looking for a PVR that goes the extra mile, then take a look at the Panasonic DMRHW100.

When it comes to recording TV, a PVR or Personal Video Recorder, is now the most popular way of doing so. Take a look at the Panasonic DMR-HW100 and you can understand why. Twin Freeview HD tuners mean that you can not only pause and rewind live TV but also record two different channels at the same time. What's more, the 320GB built-in hard drive is ample for recording many hours of programmes, whether HD or SD.

Yet recording with the Panasonic is just half the story. The DMRHW100 also comes with Viera Cast which opens up a whole new range of options. Simply connect to your home network hub via Ethernet or optional wi-fi and you can use the DMRHW100 as a hard drive server for other DLNA products on your home network. This makes it possible, for example, to view material you've recorded to the DMRHW100 on your Laptop. Equally, material stored elsewhere can be streamed back to the Panasonic, for viewing on your TV. Whilst this feature isn't unique, Panasonic have used the hard drive storage to create an entirely unique feature; a Skype video recorder. That's right, in addition to being able to make and receive Skype calls (optional camera required), the Panasonic will also video record any missed calls - proper "Tomorrow's World" tech!

Of course, Viera Cast also lets you access the best of the web. For example, watch millions of hours of entertainment on sites such as YouTube.

When it comes to controlling the DMR-HW100, an Apple app lets you take control using an iPod Touch, iPhone or iPad. Other great features include twin USB sockets. Use one to add a wi-fi dongle while the other, at the front, is available for connecting a digital media device and streaming content.

For TV and communications, 21st Century style, the Panasonic DMRHW100 offers tomorrow's tech, today.
