"Truly wonderful - they may not look it but these headphones are a bit special." What Hi-Fi Sound and Vision magazine.
The Grado SR80i headphones take the multi-awarding winning SR60is as their basis and build on their successful formula.
Although nothing much to look at, the vented diaphragm and non resonant air chamber help give a standard of sound quality well beyond what rivals can muster. In addition, superior cabling and larger ear cushions provide an improved bass response, larger sound stage and enhanced detail. For those who demand exacting detail and long-term satisfaction from their headphones, the Grado SR80is are hard to beat.

"These pricier siblings to the SR60i are well worth the extra money with their extra control and focus. The SR80is are a fine pair of hi-fi headphones that are, tonally, very similar to the slightly cheaper Award-winning SR60is. The natural warmth and emotion is wonderful, as is the balanced presentation. Music is free-flowing and rhythmic. But to justify the extra money, the SR80is bring slightly greater control and musical focus. There's a subtle but noticeable increase in bass weight, too: the SR80is might be a little pricier than the SR60is, but in this case the extra is money well spent." - What Hi-Fi?
