The Pioneer X-SMC3 is our first ever dock with Apple Airplay and it's a stunner!

Apple's AirPlay lets you wirelessly stream music from any compatible Apple device - without the need for a separate home hub. The appeal lies in its simplicity. Come home, take out your iPhone and play music from it, straight on to the dock - no wires required and it will even work in another room. Alternatively, use your iPod Touch or iPad as the music storage and control device. When you need to charge your iPod or iPhone, simply dock it as usual.

As impressive as Apple's AirPlay is, the X-SMC3 doesn't end there. DLNA streaming gets you access to music stored on your PC, laptop or NAS (Network Attached Storage) drive and plays it through the receiver. There's also access to Internet radio, making the X-SMC3 a fully comprehensive streamer. Next there's the option of Bluetooth compatibility. When used with an optional adaptor you can enjoy Air Jam. Air Jam is a Bluetooth-based app that lets a group of people connect with their iPhones, iPod Touch or iPads and add their songs to the playlist. In effect it's a local, social network for music and makes the X-SMC3 the perfect party performer.

Also standard is a USB connection. This allows plug-and-play flexibility with MP3 players and other digital media devices. The sound quality will be better than using an analogue input, too, as you're using the processing power of the Pioneer rather than the player's. Better still, Pioneer's Advanced Sound Retriever system enhances the typically compressed music from MP3/AAC systems and returns the sound to CD quality.

In addition to having every streaming angle covered, the Pioneer X-SMC3 has to be one of the smartest and best sounding docks in its class. Using a full colour LCD display, the X-SMC3 will display album art from the music being played! The iPod/iPhone dock also slides neatly out of sight when not in use for clean, good looks.

In terms of sound quality, the X-SMC3 is every bit as impressive as you'd expect from this leading hi-fi brand. The two full-range speakers are matched by four passive radiators. These help boost the bass response and make the X-SMC3 surprisingly powerful and dynamic for such a compact unit. The 20 watt amplifier is also more powerful than most of its rivals.

DELIVERY INFORMATION

All orders are shipped via our friends at DPD, except high value desirable items such as plasma and LCD TVs over 37 inches, which are sent fully insured with a specialist carrier.

If this is your first order with us, please ensure that the only address you enter is the credit card billing address, as this is the only address to which we can deliver. If you have previously placed an order on our website, you will be offered an alternative delivery address if your order value is
less than £500. Also, ensure you only click the submit order button once, as it will take a minute or so to process.

Delivery occurs within 6 working days (unless ordered on a 1-3 working days service). If after this time you have still to take receipt of your order email webaftersales@richersounds.com providing your order number, name, address, and brief details of what you ordered. We strive to answer all queries within a working day, although at busy times we do ask that you bear with us. Please submit your query only once, as repeated emails/telephone calls only serves to slow down our response time and can result in further delays to your order.

All deliveries must be signed for. They will NOT be left in garages, sheds, outside loos, porches etc. You must examine the goods before signing for them to ensure they are in good condition - if packaging is damaged please do not accept goods. Instead notify us as soon as possible. If there is no-one in to sign for the goods, they will be taken back to the courier depot and a card left.

If we are out of stock of an item or there is a problem, we will contact you as soon as is possible.

 
DELIVERY TRACKING

Once you have placed an order and the order has been dispatched, you will receive an e-mail (usually the day before delivery) from DPD containing your tracking information. Please note that this does not apply to plasma screens or accessories such as remote controls, cables, leads etc.
