"Small but perfectly formed, the Panasonic is a tremendous tiny telly." What Hi-fi Sound & Vision magazine.

The Panasonic TXL24e3 may be compact but, when it comes to screen quality, it's every bit as good as the larger models. At the heart of this TV is a high spec, LED backlit panel. The Full-HD 1080p LED panel gives amazing picture uniformity. Even when viewed at a considerable angle, there's fade-free brightness and consistency of image. This fast-responding TV also has minimal afterglow. Matching the impressive colour and contrast is similarly impressive detail. Thanks to the Full HD, 1080p panel, image detail from Blu-ray is sensational. As What Hi-Fi commented on the picture quality; "We'd always suspected that the difference between 1920 x 1080 and, say, 1366 x 768 resolution would be negligible at this size, but that's not the case - the deep, detailed blacks, strong contrasts, prodigious detail levels and deft way with skin-tones and textures all contribute to a brilliantly watchable picture"

In addition to offering a superb picture quality, the Panasonic TXL24e3 also offers good sound quality - especially for a TV of this size. Although no match for a soundbar/power plinth, the V-Audio Surround system creates a spacious sound. There are also both analogue and optical digital audio outputs; allowing you to easily improve the sound quality via a separate hi-fi or home cinema system.

When it comes to connecting up, the TXL24e3 has all the basics you need for digital TV. As well as the standard Freeview tuner, there's also a Freeview HD tuner built-in, making it ideal for getting the best possible pictures from TV. There's also a wide range of connections. Twin HDMI sockets let you connect a Blu-ray player and games console. SCART and component inputs are provided for older sources such as DVD, and there's also a PC input. Combine this with the Game Mode and the TXL24e3 becomes the ideal dual use TV/monitor.

For all that's great about Panasonic TVs, distilled into a 24 incher, the TX-L24e3 hits the spot.
