"The champion micro for so many years is back, and better than ever." What Hi-Fi Sound & Vision magazine.
Evolution rather than revolution has always been key to the progress of Denon's most popular mini system ever - and it's worked a treat, yet again, with the Denon DM39.
SMALL IN SIZE BUT BIG ON SOUND QUALITY
The key to the success of Denon mini systems has always been the balance of fine sound quality with compact good looks. Despite substantial changes to the circuitry, this is still the case with the DM39. As before, the DM39 features "simple & straight" circuits for the least distortion possible. The totally revised power supply places the transformer further away from the delicate pre-amp stages for lower levels of distortion and a purer sound. Triple noise reduction design with short signal paths, digital and analogue separation and precision earthing ensure that the Denon DM39 offers the clarity of sound you'd expect from Denon. Another sonic upgrade has come about by redesigning the CD mechanism. Designed to reduce vibration and sit lower in the chassis, it helps deliver a more accurate sound when playing CDs.
NOW FEATURING A DIGITAL INPUT
Whereas previous Denon DM3-Series systems featured a digital output, this is the first to come with a very handy optical digital input. Designed to allow TVs, Smart TV boxes or other devices with an optical digital output to run through the Denon, this feature adds greatly to the flexibility of the DM39. The front-mounted USB socket has also been revised. Not only is this now fully compatible with Apple iPhones and iPads it will also now charge iOS devices, even when in standby - making a charging dock unnecessary.
FULLY FEATURED RADIO
The Denon DM39 comes with an impressive sounding tuner radio that's comprehensively equipped. Featuring DAB+, DAB, FM (RDS) and AM, the tuner has almost every radio eventuality covered both for the present and, because of DAB+, for the future, too.
HANDY FEATURES
It may be small, but when it comes to connections, the Denon DM39 has everything you need. In addition to the USB and digital optical inputs, there's also a conventional RCA phono input at the back, letting you plug in up to three extra devices in total. There's also a very useful subwoofer output for an active bass unit.
Better sounding and more suitably equipped for the digital age, the Denon DM39 has raised the game. A better all-rounder at this price is hard to imagine.
