A 14 inch cone and 500 watt amplifier combine to make the DALI K14 a formidable subwoofer.
Bass to make the room shake - from a 14" cone
For the deepest bass you need a large cone and you won't find a lot bigger than the DALI's 14 inch beast. This sizeable cone shifts plenty of air so you can feel the lowest bass notes rather than just hearing them. The long stroke woofer is made from aluminium, meaning it's light and rigid - perfect for clean, accurate low frequencies.
Power brings control - 500 watt amplifier
Keeping the monster cone under tight control is an equally impressive 500 watt, Class-D amplifier. With this much effortless power on tap, the bass not only has the potential to go loud but also cleanly and without distortion. Whether you're watching an action movie or listening to music, the bass kicks in exactly when it's supposed to and is gone just as quickly. Bass 'overhang' simply isn't an issue with this sub.
Solid cabinet for distortion-free sound
There's little point in producing a powerful sub if the cabinet isn't built to cope. Fortunately, the K-14's cabinet is more than up to the task, as its total 26.4kg weight proves. With thick cabinet walls and a solid aluminium base, you won't find any rattles or distortion from this cabinet.
Choice of colour
The K-14 sub is available in either silk matte white with a gloss white baffle or black ash with a black front panel, making it easy to match to your decor or home cinema equipment.
Switch on, turn up and prepare to be pinned to your seat!

The beast that goes by the name of K14
Prepare to buy a sack truck or work out in the gym before buying this sub woofer. It's an absolute beast of a thing and weighs a tonne (not literally). It looks stunning and will no doubt sound amazing when I get it hooked up with the rest of my system.

Rocking Ship.....
I'd purchased the Dali sub to add full resonance to the recently acquired system courtesy of Richer Sounds, boy, does it rock fully...So much so, I've now another task of mounting the deck on the wall...for obvious reasons....Top Notch.

A top quality sub of infra-bass ability
I was already using a pair of Cambridge Audio X500 subs (not the later paper coned ones) but I felt they were not quite exploring the infra-sonic range, so I started to look for a sub that would do that task which could accompany the X500’s.
As those Cambridge X500’s use aero grade aluminium for the cones and the Dali sub K14F also utilises an aero grade aluminium cone – it would be a match made in Heaven – which it has actually transpired to be! A good test for a non-resonant, high quality metal cone is to lightly tap it with the tip of your finger – most cones will produce a quite noticeable drum like tone – but a high quality metal cone should produce hardly any sound at all – and guess what, the Dali K14F makes almost the same sound as tapping a block of lead – it really is that good.
And yes, this Dali sub really does reach down into infra bass – you can more sense the low frequencies than hear them, it is like the presence of an approaching thunderstorm, you are very aware of it. But the other plus point of this sub is that it is very musical, it is not the one note variety of sub that just pushes out a boom, boom sort of sound, this is an accurate and musical sub.
I did consider an SVS sub, but in my opinion – this Dali is much more to my liking – it fulfils everything a good sub should be capable of. Perhaps three subs running at once is a bit of overkill, but, by gum, it really helps to bring a ZZ Top concert to life, almost like being there – and then run the 4K version of Aquaman and it will almost take the windows out! Yes, the Dali sub K14F is a sub of impeccable quality. If you’ve got the space and tolerant neighbours, you just can’t go wrong with this sub – and - it will hit 115db into the bargain – and that’s loud. So, in short, the Dali K14F is a very pleasing sub and well worth investing in.

Big but subtle
Had quite a few problems arriving at this sub. Originally ordered a REL T9 that was dead on arrival. I then switched to the Dali as I wasn’t keen on the unusual wiring up of the REL plus concerns over QA.
After delivery mix ups I finally collected it just before Corona Virus lockdown.
Calibrated with an audio meter, then later with DIREC Live.
It’s a nice match for my Zensor speakers and adds more depth but in a subtle way. Overall sound is now warmer, but also cleaner and even my other half has commented on how good things sound. Try watching Formula 1 Drive to Survive on Netflix in Atmos and you’ll see what I mean. It’s a great replacement for my ageing M&J sub and really has improved the listening experience.
Highly recommended.

Great sub and brilliant customer service
I looked at buying this to replace my faulty sub, but was uncertain whether it was right. The staff in the Nottingham store were beyond helpful, allowing me a two week trial of the demo unit. The item itself is punchy and fast, and goes plenty deep enough. I finally feel like I'm hearing the bass in movies like I should be!

Excellent deep bass with big reserves of power
I exchanged my silver w12 for this subwoofer as the w12 came as package with the monitor audio silver 500 but I wasn’t happy with the bass output it was tight bass but didn’t sound as deep or loud as the k14 very happy
