Using a superb OLED panel, the LG 55EG910V puts the picture first.

Sensational picture quality with curved OLED design

Welcome to the future of TV - OLED. Organic Light-Emitting Diode - OLED - TV offers perhaps the most advanced picture quality currently available. Unlike LED screens, OLED doesn't require backlighting, so the colour is consistent right across the screen, with greatly enhanced contrast levels. The technology also allows for curved screens, which is where this LG 55 inch TV scores again. The curved screen gives an immersive viewing experience that draws you into the picture.

4 Colour Pixel
Helping to give this TV one of the most natural picture qualities in its class, LG's certified 4 Colour Pixel system adds a white sub-pixel to the conventional red, green and blue. This helps gives the 55EG910V exceptional colour realism.

Cinema TV with 2D to 3D conversion
Cinema 3D TV LG's passive 3D system. It's simpler than the active system but in many ways it's superior. For a start, it's considered more comfortable to watch with less flicker and it has a wider viewing angle and brighter images. The glasses are much cheaper and lighter to wear, and as they don't need batteries, they don't need recharging. And with 2D to 3D conversion, you can get the 3D experience with any programme, whether filmed in 3D or not!

The sleekest style
Measuring just 4.8mm at its slimmest points, this OLED TV is slimmer over much of its panel than any smartphone currently available! Even at the points that have to be thicker, for stand fixing and electronics housing, the total depth still only increases to around 49mm. Combined with the sleek curve, this makes the 55EG910V one of the best-looking TVs in its class.

The best Smart interface just got better with webOS 2.0
Widely acclaimed as one of the best smart TV interfaces, LG's webOS 2.0 operating system is now better than ever. Rather than swapping to dedicated smart TV menu pages, webOS uses superimposed icons, folders and side bars for clear and easy access to smart content without leaving the current screen image. Fast, responsive and truly adept at multi-tasking, webOS shows there is a smarter way to control your TV - even for technophobes!

App or voice interaction
Available for iOS or Android, the LG smart remote app makes the most of your smartphone in controlling the TV. Alternatively, Voice Interaction allows you to enter search terms and also access a host of other commands just by speaking. Simply talk into the remote control and let your TV do all the searching for you.

Premium Smart
Intuitive and easy to operate, the 55EG910V offers a world of entertainment options. As you'd expect, there's a wide range of Premium LG applications, including many popular video on demand apps, such as Netflix, BBC iPlayer, Now TV, Amazon Prime and YouTube. There's also a web browser plus DLNA certification to allow you to stream across your network from other devices, such as your PC or laptop.

For the ultimate in picture realism, the LG 55EG910V shines bright with its OLED screen.

LG 55EG910V is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 32.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Richer sounds Brighton Only had the TV for a week and must say that the picture quality is stunning. This TV had a lot to live up to as it was replacing a very expensive Panasonic Viera Plasma model from 2007. You will not be disappointed with this TV. Excellent value for money. You have to go OLED.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent TV at an excellent price I bought this tv after my 3 year old 55" lg led broke, richer sounds Southampton swapped it with no argument under their 5 year guarantee, Whilst I was awaiting the diagnosis on my old tv they loaned me a 4K 50", and the picture difference was substantially better, so I thought if had to I would go for 4K, until I started reading the reviews on the oled, and most were saying that the picture was better, so I had look at few in store, and to my untrained eyes it definitely looked better and the cost difference was substantial. So went for it, and I'm so glad I did, I can't fault this product in any way the picture is crystal clear, I watch through the satellite, so don't use the wifi side of it and have quite a comprehensive sound system, so I can't comment on the tv sound, but it's usually pretty good from lg, yet again richer sounds Southampton have gone above and beyond my expectations. Thank you.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from LG 55GE910V The picture quality is outstanding. The 3d is very good and an improvement on my old Samsung tv which had active 3d not passive like this one. The glasses for this are the same as the cinema and are like sunglasses to wear (with no batteries) so you don't have to keep turning on and off. The only disappointment is that the smart features don't come with itv hub, All4 or YouTube, only BBCi player and demand 5 as well as Netflix, Amazon and a few others. You cannot download them either. I am lucky enough to have Sky catch up so not so important to me. I also have a 3d camera which the tv was not compatablte with when l linked it up with the hdmi cable. I have had to buy another blu-ray player with an SD card slot to play my photo's. I have had to overcome the small issues but am happy overall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great to for the price This is a great tv, if You watch tv play games consul or watch dvds the picture is very good, it's so different from your standard hd tv, brighter and more colours, easy to use, well the magic remote does take a bit of time to get used to but if you've ever used a Nintendo wii the remote won't be to much of a problem, quality of sound is good compared to the other TVs I've had or seen, I'm not really into using the smart features of a to but you will be surprised at how much there is, I can view the pictures and videos from my iPhone on the large "55" screen connecting that and my pc was so easy to do, overall this is a very very good tv in every way, and I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to replace their old tv
Date published: 2017-01-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb picture quality. Using OLED technology the depth of color and picture quality is top notch. When I viewed this TV against other non-OLED offerings the difference was unbelievable - making the non-OLED's look 10 years old in some cases! The user interface is clear and easy to use, easy set-up and stylish design makes it a winner in my book (if a little pricey).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Amazing picture quality and great presence I have yet to use all of the features but am very impressed with the picture quality and the way in which you're drawn into the TV. Can't wait to use it to it's full potential.
Date published: 2016-12-13
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Picture quality its just like looking out the window So pleased. I've been looking for a 55" to replace my 42" plasma for 3 years and have always been weary of the quality of LED against Plasma. This LG OLED HD is defiantly a great step forward. Richer sounds Bournemouth put the tec and the confidence into the purchase, credit really as I first viewed the TV in PC World and was still undecided. I use the TV only via a Onkyo amp feed by Virgin megia box and Blue ray player so the apps are not used so can not comment on that side of the TV, Its all about the PICTURE. Recommended product and retailer. AND I save £150.00 thanks to price matching. Many thanks to LG and RICHER SOUNDS.
