One of the biggest screens in its class plus 3D, plus Smart TV: it's hard not to fall for the Sharp LC60LE651k.

BIG, BOLD 3D IMAGES FROM THIS EXCITING TV

If you've got a larger than average room or you simply want to be fully immersed in the picture, then the Sharp's 3D 60 inch LED screen offers simply unbeatable value. At the heart of this 3D 1080p HD Ready screen is edge LED backlighting. This not only makes the screen super-thin but also provides a brighter picture with greatly enhanced contrast. Realism of subtle colours such as flesh tones takes a great step forward and, whatever the resolution of the TV you're watching, the Sharp is one of the truest TVs in its class. Matching the intense realism is the ability to strongly resist blur and judder. 100Hz technology gives smoother motion and more body to pictures, especially when watching fast moving sports events. This is backed up by Sharp's exclusive film Dejudder system for smooth and seamless replay of movies. Taken together, the Sharp AQUOS LC60LE651K gives one of the most natural, detailed and smoothest pictures in its class.

CRISP AND SPACIOUS SOUND

With a big screen like this, you really need to get a separate AV system to provide the sound to match. Whilst the built-in audio will never live up to the picture it still provides a spacious and clear sound. A digital amplifier powers the 2 x 15 speaker system for a crisp, powerful sound.

SHARP'S AQUOS NET + FOR ACCESS TO THE BEST OF THE INTERNET

With Sharp's AQUOS NET +, the LC60LE651K has access to the best of the Internet via applications. A web browser and DLNA connectivity are standard, making this a full spec Smart TV. It also offers the option of either wired or optional wireless (via optional dongle) connection to your home network hub. Other connections are every bit as comprehensive as you'd expect from a TV of this size. In addition to the four HDMI sockets this Sharp LED TV also comes with SCART, component and a PC input. There's also a USB interface that accepts video, photo and music data from your USB-equipped media player. Furthermore, being a two-way USB, you can connect up a suitable hard drive system and use it as a PVR (Personal Video Recorder) via the Electronic Program Guide. When connecting to your hi-fi or AV system, the Sharp will oblige with a comprehensive range of connections including a coaxial digital output, analogue audio and headphone outputs.

With such an engaging picture plus a wide range of features, the Sharp LC60LE651K is hard to beat at this price.

Rated 4.5 out of 5áby 11 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 Amazing value for money, an absolute bargain! Stunning pictures, and as usual with this type of flatscreen TV the sound from the in-built speakers is acceptable. I found the TV to be a doddle to set up. My only disappointment has been the lack of an optical digital input/output, but for this price there had to be some compromise somewhere. I suppose the only other compromise is that the TV doesn't come with 3D glasses. However, they can be purchased from Sharp but they are vastly overpriced. There are plenty of compatible glasses available from many sites for a fraction of the price. At the time of writing this review I hadn't checked out the 3D performance. So far, overall I think the TV is stunning and amazing value for money. An absolute bargain. And not only that, it came with a free 5 year guarantee too. Simply put, the best tech money I've spent in years! 13 August 2014
Rated 5 out of 5áby Excellent Picture for a great price Looked at several up to ú1,000 price but settled on this one. I'm not bothered about any Smart features, I have XBOX360, PS3 and SKY HD plugged in so would really not use them anyway, if someone just made a BIG screen with great image quality and a few HDMI I'd be happy, this screen is very close. After running through the setup with my Spyder 4 HD the image is outstanding, the main issue was the contrast was way too high. Blacks are very impressive and in HD it's great, from Bluray its fantastic. I've watched a few 3D Blu Rays and the picture is very good there is some minor crosstalk(ghosting) on some distant images but not major - if you want a TV to experience Gravity in its 3D glory this TV it it. SD picture quality I would say is just OK, but I did notice some blurring on fast motion in SD, but then who buys a 60" screen for it's SD quality. Sound - never used it, keep the volume on zero as I run through a Onkyo TX-SR717 (also purchased from RS) in a 7.1 setup. 27 May 2014
Rated 5 out of 5áby Had this for a year now and cannot fault it. SHARP who wants to buy a SHARP? I do, because this is the best TV I have ever had. Large screen without sacrificing image clarity. Controls and functions are good, I have inputs on all sources and switching between them is easy with settings like volume retained on each source. Don't use the SMART stuff as I have that on the other sources. If you are looking for a great cinema screen this is it. I had a projector before but have now put that away as this is gret as an every day TV and the picture bursts into life for BluRay film nights! Get one while you can is my advice. 10 May 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 misleading photograph I am a committed RS customer and have now learnt that buying instore is essential if you want to avoid problems. This TV is shown lying flat on the wall in one of the above photos but has a terrible design at the back to accommodate the stand which prevents you from wall mounting it, unfortunately I had to send it back. The 3D glasses that you need are quite pricey too as you will need active glasses and it seems to me that they're becoming rare and therefore expensive. If you want a 3D TV make sure the glasses technology is more future proof than this one. 16 April 2014
Rated 5 out of 5áby Excellent all round TV and great value for money. Have had this tv for 4 days now and with limited time have not read the instructions. Fortunately all functions and menus are intuitive and east to use. Picture quality overall is great in HD with very natural colours (you may want to adjust to your own preferences but pretty good straight out the box provided you use eco mode and not display setting). I have just linked the tv to a Humax DTR 1010 to provide HD upscaling to the standard definition channels and the results are impressive. Value for money I believe this is as good as it gets. No negatives at all so far. 11 April 2014
Rated 5 out of 5áby Very good TV for the price Picture is sharp with good colours, HD content looks superb (2001 on Blue-ray is astounding). This TV has very decent black and contrast levels, especially considering the price. There is minimal edge bleed on the TV I have, and clouding is no better or worse than Samsung and LG TV's that I have seen which cost considerably more (all edge LED TV's have some level of clouding) which is quite an achievement at this price. The recent firmware upgrade has added iPlayer, and sorted out the early issue with the remote not responding on occasions. The SMART TV platform is lacking some services , Netflix, Love Film, etc, so is not as advanced as the Samsung or LG offerings, but this is easily remedied with an Android Stick (which will give you a far smarter and future proof solution than any "Smart TV Platform"), or something like a WDTV. My advice, if you want a big screen, get this TV and grab yourself a bargain. 15 March 2014
Rated 5 out of 5áby Sharp LC60LE651 5 Stars Picture quality HDMI 100% Going large doesn't mean you will lose out on pixel quality. This TV finds it hard to get 100% black screen on no image. Sound quality good, Has bass & treble controls, Many features including headphone output volume controls which can be preset. Many inputs. Can do with HDMI channels labelling or source labelling which it doesn't have. Picture quality, can not fault it. TV with guartee 100% Value. 09 February 2014
Rated 5 out of 5áby Very good quality images I am one fussy customer, and I was blown away by the quality of this TV once we had reduced the contrast etc. HD blu ray images are quite superb, easily compares to Sony/Panasonic equiv. However somewhat annoyed purchased at ú999 now it is reduced so I recommend you get yourself down to RS and buy one! Also must comment on the excellent service I received from RS in Southampton! Also purchased Panasonic BT500 blu ray & Yamaha YSP3300 which provides TRUE SURROUND SOUND EFFECTS unlike cheaper options and the SONUS BAR! 17 January 2014
