"Harder, better, faster, stronger: essentially, the kind of product evolution we like to see. This YouView box is a great PVR." What Hi-Fi Sound & Vision magazine. 5-star review, tested at £200.

YouView brings it all together

YouView brings together live and on-demand TV in an effortless, intuitive way. The Humax DTRT2000 YouView set-top box brings you over 70 digital TV and radio stations, including eight in high definition. With the major BBC, ITV and Channel 4 stations all available in stunning HD and without a monthly subscription, YouView makes a tempting choice - and that's before the catch-up TV is taken into account.

Scroll back TV
YouView has a comprehensive service and once connected to your network via Ethernet gives access the BBC iPlayer, ITV Player*, 4OD, Demand 5, Dave and, in Scotland, STV Player. What really marks out YouView is the effortless user experience - simply use the Electronic Programme Guide to scroll back on the last seven days' TV programmes. In addition, a wide range of on-demand programming is available - simply type in the name of the programme and let the intelligent search function find it for you.

Record, pause and rewind live TV
Featuring a built-in 500GB hard drive, it's easy to record, pause and rewind live TV. The hard drive holds up to 300 hours of standard TV or 125 hours of HDTV - enough to be able to catch up on all your favourite TV. With the pause and rewind function, interruptions are no longer an issue - simply pause the live TV and resume when you're free again.

Remote programming and recording via app
Available for both Apple iOS and Android smartphones, the dedicated Humax app lets you take control of programming lets you record from your Humax box, wherever you are. Once paired with your device you can remotely select which programmes you want to record and, with a display that replicates the TV menu, it's easy to programme.

With access to HD and catch-up TV made this easy, the Humax DTR-T2000 makes digital TV accessible to all.

* ITV Player is available in England, Wales and The Channel Islands.

Award Winning Digital Receiver
HUMAX DTRT2000 500GB is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 89.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very capable This is an additional Humax box purchase so I'm used to the quality and ease of use that the Humax brand delivers. Slight improvements over its predecessor the DTR-T1010 in particular the removal of the distracting (and unnecessary) scrolling white display. Also the carcass is now made of metal rather than plastic so feels an improvement in that respect. A two year guarantee is welcome for a product that delivers on quality and ease of use. Grab it at a discounted rate if you can as Humax clearly don't encourage competition between retailers. Highly recommended STB - a great YouView recorder that works exceptionally well with the YouView app.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent quality and value digital recorder a friend had purchased this unit 3 weeks previously so we knew how easy it was to setup and the facilities on the box itself.RicherSounds were excellent with their phone helpline and confirmed the guarantee could be upgraded to 6 years - it was a no-brainer. My other friend bought one the same day too and is also well pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great alternative to a sky box I bought this model to replace a dtrt1000 and am not disappointed. The dtrt2000 is a lot faster than the previous one and looks more modern. Having had the other model setup was less than 10 mins. The first one was a refurbished model from Humax and only carried a 12 months warranty and lasted 2 1/2 years before its demise but buying the new one from Richer Sounds it is covered by a 6 year guarantee(albeit £17.00) but if no repairs are needed in that time then the £17.00 is refunded.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice one, Humax........ Bought to replace an ageing DTR 1000 Youview box (which may be repairable but not investigated yet). Works in essentially the same way as its predecessor (requires Freeview compatible aerial, ethernet connection to broadband) but is definitely crisper in operation. Cosmetically it has a pleasingly updated appearance with its silver grey slim and narrower box. The white led circle in the centre of the front panel is dimmer than on an earlier version a friend of mine has and goes off entirely when put into standby - useful when used in a bedroom as mine is. Unlike some other users, I do like the lack of a clock or station id information on the front panel: this gives a much cleaner look - if you are really not sure what you are watching press the information key! Clicking buttons on the remote: no problem - and the box is up and running before the TV picture appears: no problem there. Humax have refined the looks and operation of this Youview box and I recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from does the job well got this to replace my tvonics box which i just used to record on freeview. with this having the extra free on demand channels its worked out really well. at first i never realised i needed to connect to my router which is in other room, & not being tech minded was a bit lost, but bought powerline adapters & that sorted that.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Faster then old, but still needs added features as a smart tv. Had the old one replaced [DTR1010] after becoming stuck after an update. They gave me this upgraded one, I lost 500GB by upgrading as they did not make a 1TB version. However compromising the space, I wondered what had changed. Turns out this new one is a lot faster, in both switch channels to loading the on demand apps. The machine has its own auto update on things, such as the apps [on demand players], firmware/software and auto update on channels. However, disappointingly was the lack in apps, although it has the four on demand players, NOW and Netflix. It has been like this for years I & a lot of people have Amazon prime, which is supported by most smart tv's and tablets. Youview is lacking behind. They need to fork out for the licencing and just have it on there as this will be on par with Netflix very soon. Also the app can only handle one box, we have one upstairs and downstairs. If this is suppose to make a normal tv smart, it needs to be more app savy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple to set up and easy to use This is my third human yiuview box and I am pleased with the system but after around three years the hard disc(?) seems to start to fail. Nevertheless good value for money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just right I exchanged a previously bought Humax box for this one and am very pleased I did. It does all one expects from it, yet navigating it is very simple. Very unusually, it has a well thought out user guide; a really helpful well designed booklet which I certainly appreciated.
