The Cambridge Audio CD10 makes advanced Cambridge Audio technologies available at a lower cost than ever.
At the heart of the Topaz CD10 is a quality Wolfson 8761 DAC of the kind usually only found in more expensive CD players. Combined with this is a 2-pole Butterworth filter that helps give the Topaz CD10 a smooth and balanced sound quality that's free from the harshness that can sometimes afflict budget CD players.
As with Cambridge Audio's more expensive CD players, the Topaz CD10 features a superior transport system. A carefully chosen servo delivers precise tracking and ensures that the CD10 will play MP3, CDRW and WMA discs, too. Added to this is double-sided, surface-mount technology that keeps single paths as short as possible and, hence, the sound more accurate and precise.
As a step up from the CD5, the CD10 features a useful coaxial digital output. Use it to record on to digital media or, perhaps at a later date, upgrade the sound quality with a better quality DAC such as the Cambridge Audio DacMagic.
As you'd expect from Cambridge Audio, the Topaz CD10 is also much better finished than its rivals. The metal facia fronts a smoothly contoured casing that's designed for vibration resistance as much as good looks.
For a budget CD player that's serious about sound, the Cambridge Audio Topaz CD10 is your first port of call.
