  Howie, Store Manager

  Howie has been at this shop for 6 years now and knows Preston inside out. The leader of the gang, Howie is the go-to guy for any football, film or Playstation news and is always the first person to buy that latest gadget. An avid geek, when not at work, Howie will be found “fragging” on Call of Duty with his made-up friends. For anything technology-related Howie is the man to ask, so if you want to know the difference between 3D and 3G, come on in!

  Martin, Deputy Manager

  We welcome the newest twin to join the ranks of Richer Sounds. New to the job but certainly not the industry, Martin has been keeping us in business by shopping here for 20+ years, since he was a nipper! An avid cyclist, he often comes in from his late nights DJ-ing trying to balance all the way from Burnley or Blackburn, just don’t ask to see his bike because you’ll be with him for hours gawping!

  Alan, Sales Consultant

  Alan sold his first ever hi-fi back in the early seventies whilst Julian Richer was still in school. He then took time away from selling hi-fi to do boring things for Royal Mail before being tempted back to the hi-fi fold. There is nothing this man doesn't know - his favourite website is Slashdot.org, a website for nerds, and he will bore you to death within seconds of any subject apart from popular music, which he knows absolutely nothing about (he thinks the rock band U2 is a spy plane). Apart from this, Alan is the Mastermind and an integral part of the team. When you visit the store he will give you a warm welcome and can answer any question you throw at him, and I do mean any question!

  Sean, Sales Consultant

  Sean has been impressing customers for three years with his untouchable knowledge of all things TV (and 90’s boy bands). With a skip and a jump, you’ll often see Sean burst into song and dance when his favourite track plays on the store Sonos system, just as he recounts his “I was almost on X-Factor” story. If you do encounter Sean, make sure you give him enough room to moonwalk your purchase out of the door to your car!

  James, Career Key Timer Sales

  James, or Dean (as he is sometimes known), doesn’t like to brag, but he did in fact invent music. Ask him anything from “who wrote (insert obscure song title here)” to “how do I plug my dishwasher into my HDTV?” and he’ll provide you with an answer! James also has officially the loudest system within Richer Sounds, at a conservative 5000 Watts. Currently juggling 12 jobs alongside a PHD, you’ll be lucky to bump into this elusive twin, but once seen he is never forgotten!

  Dave has recently been allowed out of the cellar into the bright lights of the shop floor as we found it easier to promote him than to keep having to tell him to stop chatting to customers! Dave can talk for England, particularly about his beloved Preston North End! If you get talking, he won’t let you leave without finding out a fact for the day that he can try and impress everyone else with!

  Rosa, Sales Advisor

  Rosa is the newest colleague to join the Preston store and an import at that. Fluent in Greek, English and French, she is currently undergoing a software update to include Italian, Spanish and German. So if you fancy a brew and some information on TV, audio, or classic films, pop down to the store for one of the best coffees this side of the Miller Arcade.
