Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Value for Money I bought these stands a few weeks ago to accommodate my rear surround sound speakers, I saw similar styles advertised in a few places and to be honest they do all look alike, but decided to buy mine through Richer Sounds as I thought they would be decent quality from there. I went for these not because of low cost but they were they only type that had a small enough base to fit in where I wanted them. I didn't have any great issues while putting them together, you just have to make sure you get everything in the right order, Since completing the set up I've had no problems, am more than happy with the quality of the product, R.S. delivered promptly, and overall I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great looking stands These stands are great, they have a simplistic look and hold the rear speakers well and hide any wires. I have deducted a star because they don't stand up very well unaided whilst on carpet, the speaker I am using are only small and about 1.5kg but these would cause the stand to topple. For me they are fine as I have them behind the sofa meaning they are supported but worth noting as they do not have any carpet grippers on the bases. Assembly was fairly straight forward the only challenging part was feeding the speaker wires through.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Stylish design Speaker stands they do the job reasonably easy to build

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good stands for small speakers at a good price These stands are very reasonable in price and do the job for small speakers admirably. Threading the speaker cable with integral connector through the kinked leg of the stands was quite a challenge but with patience and a little ingenuity it is feasible. They come with various size screws to attach the speaker so you should find something that will fit. I am using them for the rear of room surround sound speakers for my TV sound system. For the price you can’t really go wrong.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just the job! I bought these to use with an Onkyo surround speaker system I recently purchased. I wasn’t sure at first when I unpacked them as the rear speakers were quite large but the stands were more than up to the job of supporting them without any issues. Good overall universal speaker stands.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for tiny speakers Having been moving around and 'between' full floor standers, I'm currently using Anthony Gallo Micro TIs (which are great btw) as my main speakers. They've been sitting on the floor for a while and I wanted to raise them to listening height. Given I'm getting full speakers sooner rather than later I didn't want to spend much. These stands fit the bill perfectly. At 30 GBP they didn't break the bank and the flexibility of the fittings at the top meant I actually found two ways to attach the Gallos securely to them: one with their wall mounts and one without. They have a heavy weight in the base and the feet spread out sufficiently for stability. Overall: cheap, flexible, solid and stable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Peerless SPK510 - Review Peerless SPK510 was bought to fix the Samsung HWN950 rear speakers; I managed to get the UNC type screws for them from Homebase as they do not accommodate the M type. The other observation is the stem seems to be a bit fragile, but seems to take the weight of the speaker quite well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good Bought these 2 weeks ago excellent value for money and like the way you can adjust the height an the weight keep them in place

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Exactly what I needed for small satellite speakers Bought with V.I.P discount and ordered in store for collection the follwing week. No mess or fuss.
Date published: 2018-12-22
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Flexible and unobtrusive - but a little wobbly Shops staff said these would fall over with Samsung soundbar rears but they are okay and slight wobbliness doesn't matter as they are located between my sofa and the back wall so can't knock them over. Easy to set up and flexible height so just what I needed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor I bought these a month or so ago, after visiting the store on 2 previous occasions trying to find stands for my small Boston acoustics speakers. After being sold the wrong speaker stands on 2 occasions I got these that seemed to do the trick only for one of them to not tighten up or extend. Having misplaced my receipt I'm stuck with them. Overall the product and service have been pretty poor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great look, nice and sturdy. Really happy with speaker stands, look great with my yamaha surround speakers on which I also got from richer sounds along with yamaha av receiver, my go to place for home cinema products.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bad quality Bought them because I figured: once installed I won't mess with them. According to the specs they can support up to over 4 kgs. So I figured these can be used for Genelec 8020. Two problems: - The Genelecs come with a wall mount that causes the speakers to be further to the front, so the stand would be pulled forward. Then I tried to turn the plastic (!) mount of the Peerless 180 degrees and attach the mount from the back, with the stand between the mount and the speaker. That works! Not the first prize in the beauty contest, but they're on and all looks and sounds fine. (Cables won't go through the stand of course, but I don't mind - they're not meant for active speakers anyway.) - The screws broke. That's the main thing with these guys: the screws are terrible and break, even if you apply very little force. So be aware of that! Why two stars? Breaking the screws turns out to be 'misuse' - I will argue it's just terrible quality. So if you don't mind this type of hassle, go for it, if you want a quality product, this surely isn't what you're looking for!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Unbeatable price for good rear speaker stands I bought these speaker stands two weeks ago on recommendation from Paul, the manager at Richer Sounds Manchester branch. I wanted a pair of rear speaker stands that extended up to about 95cm to get over a sofa and which gave good sound isolation. Paul suggested these and they fit the bill excellently. At the price they were impossible to beat. They are easy to assemble, and look fine. My speakers are a bit too large to fit into the angle of the stands as they are designed, but by rotating the brackets on which the speakers attach I was able to get the speakers connected and sitting fine. It makes the stands very slightly top heavy, and if you had dogs or small children that would be a problem. I have neither and it is no problem at all. So in summary, a good product at a great price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from lovely speaker stands , slim and great looking. So happy with my purchase had to replace my old ones which broke I am so please with them that I am thinking of buying another pair for my front speakers. Staff where fantastic opened the store a bit early for me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good value for money Good weighted base, well build. My only issue was that the top plastic section that holds the speaker is only universal for speakers that you can screw into the rear off, so hang vertically. Mine had screw holes on the bottom, so I had to turn them on their side which looks odd, a alternative plastic top would be nice to include in the box

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wharfedale DX 1 satellite speakers Used to hold Wharfedale DX 1 satellite speakers, used M6 pozi head screws to attach speakers through the cable hole on bracket. Good stiff mounting. These speaker stands are very good value.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from looks good I feel that small parts are not good quality one of the locking collers cracked when putting together
Date published: 2018-02-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality low cost I wish I had gone straight to Richer Sounds and not tried to buy cheap stuff on eBay. These were the same price as the cheap rubbish I bought on there and are proper quality. Nicely weighted base means the rear speakers don't wobble. Marks out of 10 ? 700.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Speakers that hold their own (and the weight!) These speakers are being used with 1.5kg tall-ish speakers that belong to a Sony surround sound unit. It is doing the job I need it to. Traditional speaker cable can be inserted into the stand, but wireless speakers (like mine) with a power cable will not fit. Nevertheless - a tidy stand setup with a solid weight at the base. Only complaint - the hexagonal nut/washer is a bit stiff and not easy to secure!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from not a great finish to them purchased these to mount my 5.1 JBL speaker sets. The stands are a bit flimsy, its quite hard to feed the speaker wires through them as where holes have been punched they havent been filed off so there are bits of metal poking into the inside of the tubes. speaker mounts are not great either and I dont think I would trust these stands around small children as quite easy to topple them... Overall they do the job but at £15 a stand I don't feel they are great value for money

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth every penny! I wanted to get some reasonable prices speaker stands for my Onkyo home cinema system - nothing too bulky but had to be able to do the job. After a speedy and trouble free delivery from Richer Sounds, the stands were easy to assemble and look very stylish especially as they have the ability to hide the speaker wires in the frame. I bought one pair to try out and liked them so much I just bought another pair! You can always rely on Richer Sounds for good value, quality products:).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fiddly fitting but match the speakers The universal fitting mechanistic is fiddly but once beaten they look good.
Date published: 2017-03-24
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Do the job for a great price! These look very nice, minimalist matte black stands. Perfect for my Yamaha rear speakers. The base of them are only about 6" square so they dont get in the way and are about 2" high so they can fit under the sofa if needed. Glad i went for them. Comes with a variety of different screws for mounting different style speakers or ones with different holes in the back. Also you thread the speaker cable up inside the tube to hide it. Tube is about 10mm so its tight but it goes, i used cambridge audio 200 cable for my rears.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from STANDS I already have a pair of these stands so another set of stands does the biz
Date published: 2016-12-17
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Look good I wanted a simple stand in black with sleek design. My eye was draw to these as soon as I spotted them. Cables are well hidden inside the tube. The speakers were easy to fix on the top, although one pack was a screw short. They are not very sturdy, but more than enough to support the speakers, and to increase there support would have meant a sturdier design which would detract from their looks. The one thing that put me off at first was the base stand. We have a wooden floor and I did not want to risk scratching it where the metal touches the floor. This is of course easy to overcome. Mine are standing on a cushioned tile! I am pleased I went for these stands.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Speaker Stands Very quick to assemble, holds my Tannoy speakers very well considering the size. I did have to modify the bracket that came with the speaker,to fit them to the stand but that was drilling a single hole on each. The screw that holds the 'head' to the stand snapped on one,but its still very sturdy and doesn't move. Just be careful when screwing the weight on the bottom, the thread is very fine and if you're not careful you may cross thread it

Rated 4 out of 5 by from does the job Instructions aren't that clear, it lists bolts & washers supplied...but not the two screws used for affixing the universal adaptor? I used my diy experience to draw the right conclusion. Don't overtighten anything. I sheered the head off a screw doing this. Not a show stopper so no harm done but slightly better quality self tappers wouldn't go amis. Biggest issues was feeding cables. The pipes have snags, particularly at the location of the alternate cable route. There's leftover swarf on the interior of the hole that makes speaker cable bunch up and stick. FYI a power cable will feed through (won't bend when caught). Use electrical tape to attach (not side by side) the speaker cable. Then pull through using the power cable. Simples They do the job and any issues are not insurmountable. If you don't fancy spending over £50 on a couple of stands these are a perfectly reasonable alternative
