Style and quality
With curved ends and real wood veneer, the FW1350CB is more quality furniture than industrial-looking rack. Complementing the real wood veneer frame are glass shelves that have been tinted black to match the finish of most TVs and AV units. On the other side of the unit there's a drawer and cupboard, ideal for storing a wide range of accessories out of sight.
Practical storage
Although a quality design, the Alphason FW1350CB will hold 80kg - enough for even the heaviest TVs. The other shelves use toughed glass shelves to safely house two AV components, side-by-side (total internal width - 715mm). At the rear, a cable management system keeps the cables neatly hidden.

Sturdy construction
Assembly instructions are not very clear. For example the runner that holds the draw slides out of the piece attached to the cabinet.(little grey bit of plastic releases the mechanism). Without doing this it is impossible to put the screws in the pre- positioned holes. Also the two main metal racks look very similar not easy to see which goes on top and which is the front.
Once assembled looks very smart

Only one criticism,the holes in the back panel are far to large,and therefor can be seen behind equipment

Recommended with reservations.
Requires Ikea style assembly, not helped by poor quality of the screws provided for assembling the drawer runners etc. In frustration I had to go out and buy screws made of better metal. Then discovered one of the door hinges was faulty (Replacement rapidly supplied by first class post). Also this is a very heavy unit; the glass top alone is quite a weight. So for an easier life you might prefer a unit simply with shelves and fewer complications.
Having said that, the finished unit looks great. The drawer takes all the many instruction booklets etc. The cupboard has an access hole at the back so a mains extension can be fed into it, so leads from TV etc can be dealt with from within the cupboard; much tidier than wiring hiding at back of unit. So yes- very pleased with it now, but it was a b*gg*r to assemble.
