Solid, perfect-surface copper (PSC) conductors
For many years Audioquest has advocated solid-core rather than multi-strand cables. Electrical and magnetic interaction between strands in conventional cables can cause distortion, giving an unnatural edge to the sound quality. The new PSC cable takes this one stage further by offering an astonishingly smooth and pure surface. By using a proprietary metal-processing technology, the cable is exceptionally pure and, therefore becomes a wonderfully low distortion conductor.
Air-filled foamed-polyethylene insulation
Wire insulation can cause an imperfect signal by absorbing energy and then releasing it as distortion. The Golden Gate uses air-filled Foamed-Polyethylene as air absorbs next to no energy and Polyethylene is low-loss and has a benign distortion profile. The result is reduced distortion for an even purer sound quality.
Cold-welded, gold-plated plugs
By using a high pressure weld rather than solder, there’s less chance of a faulty connection between cable and plug. Not only does this lead to a more reliable connection in the long term but it also ensures low resistance and, hence, low distortion connection for the entire life of the cable.
With such dedicated engineering, it’s little wonder the Golden Gate is such an impressive cable.

Great value with great sound
I bought this with a Cambridge Audio CXN V2 as you don't get cables with thier gear. I was recommended these cables by the sales person and I had heard reviews on YouTube. Although they are not what could be called cheap I believe they are super value for money. They give a great sound feeling to me to be pretty neutral. Having listened to the CXN via these cable in the store. I just had to have them when I bought the CXN that day. Just awesome very highly recommended.

Was actually after some Chord interconnects for my turntable but decided upon these & pleased I did, they are high quality, come well packaged & definitely improved the sound over the cables supplied with the table, great personal service & advice from the telesales team

Stylish and Amazing
I am upgrading my system and the latest upgrade is my interconnect. I was unsure how much improvement a I/C could give. I needn't have worried the improvement is spectacular. I am amazed how much has improvement there truly is. I would recommend this I/C without hestiation.

I purchased the Golden Gate rca to replace my old Cambridge Pacific that served me well for over a decade but the difference i noticed through my Dali Menuets was obvious' larger soundstage & greater detail along with deeper low end. For the money the Golden Gate is an exceptional performer.

Excellent product!
I've got other Audioquest rca's but this is by far the best I've tried yet. I have two of these - one running from my RP1 turntable to a ma23b tube phono stage and the other into a Prima Luna Premium Dialogue HD with EL34 tubes. The sound is very detailed and precise with good solid bass, a bigger sound stage and better defined stereo. Fantastic cable for the price.
