As the largest speakers in the 600 Series Anniversary Edition, the 603s are ideal for larger rooms. First developed for Bowers & Wilkins flagship 800-series, the Continuum woofer design shows exceptional ability for this class of speaker. As this driver is dedicated to the mid-range, you’ll hear even more detail than on the smaller models.

With not one but two, improved bass cones per speaker, the 603 Anniversary Edition delivers a deep, powerful bass. As this is a 3-way speaker, the woofers are dedicated to bass, meaning they can concentrate on the bottom end of business, without having to reproduce critical mid-range information, such as vocals. In effect, this means they act as a separate subwoofer, pulling down the bass to window-rattling levels. The revised paper cones offer a faster and punchier bass than before.

A steal at this price
Initially, I had bought a pair of B&W 606 S2s. When I went home, I thought missing on 603 S2s would be a mistake since they were about to be sold out. I went back to the store before the 606s were delivered and upgraded to 603 S2s. Two weeks later, I am confident it was a great decision on my part. The 603 S2s are paired with a Marantz PM7000N amplifier. My room is not in ideal condition yet, with a lot of bare walls and too much echo going on, but still these speakers sound wonderful. I tried symphonies, sonatas, concertos, electronica, 80s pop, jazz, new wave... They all sounded great with perfect separation, detail and agility. I haven't tried heavy metal yet. The final verdict will be given after seeing how they handle some speed metal. I am very very happy with the speakers and with the amplifier pairing. Do not miss those at the current price. I believe there should be only a few pairs left.

Clear sound, perfect speakers
I got these speakers with centre to replace my almost 10 years old Roth Oli 40 and C20 which are budget speakers but sound very good so wasn't sure if there will be much improvement.
B&W sound excellent, straight from the box even with no break period and calibration at my receiver (Yamaha Aventage). Very clear sound, punchy bass. I even liked listening in pure mode. Also big improvement in home cinema.
The only downside for me hence 4 stars is cabinet build. The edges are sharp and asking for disaster. It's very easy to damage or bent them when moving or unpacking. The speakers look a bit boring and standard with grills on. For the RRP price, B&W could put more effort although I understand it's their lower line. However at the current price they're a fantastic choice.

Great Speakers at a Great price
I purchased a pair of Bower and Wilkins 603S2 at a great reduced price. They look great and sound terrific. The light oak are just the ticket. The service and advise ,delivery and help from the manager was second to none.Will use Richer Sounds again very soon.
