”A great record player, a brilliant hi-res wireless source and a genuine world-first.” ’Trusted Reviews’ – Highly Recommended - 5-Star review

The perfect blend of sound and function

Offering the perfect synergy of sound and function, the Cambridge Alva TT is an audiophile turntable that’s also easy to set-up and use. Unlike like some high-end turntables, set-up is drama free and speed control is via electronic control (no need to manually change the belt over). A built-in phonostage and Bluetooth output offer universal connectivity, letting you enjoy the top quality sound from any Hi-Fi or speaker system.

World’s first Bluetooth aptX HD turntable
This isn’t the first turntable to wirelessly connect to your Hi-Fi or Bluetooth speaker, but it is the first to do so without compromising on sound quality. Bluetooth connectivity usually means a loss in sound quality but, thanks to the Alva TT’s aptX HD output, wireless sound is better quality than ever. Working up to 24 bit/48kHz, the Alva TT offers Hi-Res audio to beat CD – cable-free.

Or cable it up
For a fully analogue experience, little beats a cabled connection. The Alva TT features a built-in phonostage, so it connects to any Hi-Fi system with an AUX input. RCA phono outputs let you use any phono cable, allowing you to use longer or higher quality cables of your choice.

Direct Drive for ultimate precision
Rather than using a belt drive system, the Alva TT opts for Direct Drive. This offers excellent pitch stability, for clean precise notes. A further advantage is there’s no belt to clean and replace.

Top quality, British-made tonearm
Engineered from a single piece of aluminium, the tonearm’s arm-tube is as rigid as possible. This means the best possible support for the cartridge, with the least sound lost to mechanical inefficiency. The classic design is highly proven and renowned as one of the best tonearms in its class. In short, it simply gets on with playing the music, with as little distortion as possible.

Moving Coil cartridge for accurate detail
Another sign of this turntable’s top-class credentials is the standard fit Moving Coil cartridge. Reserved for the highest quality turntables, Moving Coil (MC) cartridges improve over the standard Moving Magnet (MM) versions by offering a fixed stylus for improved accuracy. Smoother and more natural-sounding, once you’ve heard just how good a MC cartridge can sound, you won’t want to go back to MM.

Easy to set-up and practical
With the cartridge already in place and no belt to install, it’s easy to get started with the Alva TT. Simply adjust the weight and push the bias setting to ‘2’ and you’re good to go. Once set-up, a practical lid and push-button speed control make the Alva TT easy to live with.

Stylish good looks
Sleek, clean lines with a reassuring solidness, the Alva TT exudes a sense of quality. Finished in classic graphite grey and black, the Alva TT’s smooth style perfectly match the Cambridge Audio Edge but also blend seamlessly with a wide range of other brand components and speakers.

Get deeper into the groove, with the Cambridge Audio Alva TT turntable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Different but don't let that fool you Just a really good turntable, especially if you want something that performs well and is easy to set up and use. I feel the arm is let down by the plastic end stub - I changed it out to a metal stub. Some reviews mention a lack of omph or dynamics which I felt was not completely untrue but some experimentation with a thin platter mat and a record weight seem to eradicate this. Overall excellent and who doesn't like to try out a few cheap tweeks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High End Deck AND Bluetooth A really good turntable which I purchased because it was a 'high end' turntable WITH Bluetooth. I advise anyone considering buying this turntable to view the 'How To Set Up Your Alva TT" video on the Cambridge Audio website. I watched it several times before I received the turntable and it made setting up the deck a 5 minute job instead of a 30 minute trial - 25 minutes of which would have been taken up by me wondering if I was doing the right thing ! So, a great turntable . . . and "watch the set-up video".

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks great, sounds great. Excellent turntable. It needs a platter mat. I found static at first to be a problem. I added a leather one. Cured the static. Very rich sounding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply delighted I’ve had my Alva TT for about a month now so have had plenty of time to listen to vinyl old and new. It is paired with the glorious Edge NQ streamer and Edge W power amp with the sound being delivered by a pair of Dali Rubicon 8 speakers. I have used the turntable both using Bluetooth and the supplied RCA cables. There is a tiny difference but nothing that gets in the way of enjoyment. And that’s what this fabulous combination is about: we can analyse the open sound stage, impressive but not overwhelming bass, natural mid-tones and sweet treble but you just want to sit down and listen to more and more, enjoying the music pure and simple. Well done to the guys and girls at Cambridge Audio for marking your 50th with such a stunning turntable.
