This premium turntable is also easy to install and use. Unlike some high-end decks, set-up is drama free and speed control is via electronic control (no need to manually change the belt). A built-in phonostage and Bluetooth output offer universal connectivity, letting you enjoy the top quality sound from any hi-fi, speaker system or even Bluetooth headphones.
Switchable, high quality Bluetooth aptX HD output The original Alva TT was the world’s first turntable to offer Bluetooth aptX HD connectivity – giving you HD sound, wirelessly. Bluetooth connectivity usually means a loss in sound quality but, thanks to the Alva TT V2’s aptX HD output, wireless sound is much higher quality. Working up to 24 bit/48kHz, the Alva TT V2 delivers Hi-Res audio to beat CD – cable-free. For improved sound when not using the Bluetooth output, it’s now switchable – reducing possible interference when using a cabled connection.
Built-in, switchable phonostage For a fully analogue experience, little beats a cabled connection. The Alva TT V2 features a switchable, built-in phonostage, so it connects to any hi-fi system with an AUX input. RCA phono outputs let you use any phono cable, allowing you to use longer or higher quality cables of your choice. If you already have a high quality phonostage, simply switch the output level at the rear.
Direct Drive for ultimate precision Rather than using a belt drive system, the Alva TT V2 opts for high torque, Direct Drive. This offers excellent pitch stability, for precise timing and upbeat sound. A further advantage is there’s no belt to clean or replace.
Improved tonearm The new tonearm now features a removable headshell. This makes it much easier to remove the cartridge – ideal for when you’re cleaning the deck and don’t want to risk damaging the stylus or for when upgrading to a new cartridge. With adjustable anti-skating, the rigid tonearm cleanly follows the record’s groove, giving you clear and lifelike sound.
Moving Coil cartridge for accurate detail Another sign of this turntable’s top-class credentials is the standard fit, Alva Moving Coil cartridge. Reserved for the highest quality turntables, Moving Coil (MC) cartridges improve over regular Moving Magnet (MM) versions by offering a fixed stylus for improved accuracy. Smoother and more natural-sounding, once you’ve heard just how good a MC cartridge can sound, you won’t want to go back to MM.
Easy to set-up and practical With the cartridge already in place and no belt to install, it’s easy to get started with the Alva TT V2. Simply dial up the correct weight and anti-skating and you’re good to go. Once installed, a practical lid and push-button speed control make the Alva TT V2 easy to live with.
