Really good sound, feels like wearing overhead
It’s great sound quality, however I find myself having to factory reset them every now and then which is an inconvenience. I probably wouldn’t recommend these to others unless I knew they wouldn’t be bothered by it. Giving 5 stars for the amazing service at the Prestwich store! Andy is a credit to Richer Sounds.

Great sound.
I’ve only had the “Touch” for a week but knocked out by the sound reproduction. Connectivity has its moments and the touch controls are extremely sensitive but early days. They are exceptionally comfortable to wear and battery life is as described.
Ask me again in a couple of months !!

Great Sound horrible buggy Software and Conection
Bought them a year ago.
The sound is increadibly good and the funktion to customize it is amazing.
The software and/or conection hardware is incredible frustrating.
50% of time the first two songs Player are choppy to heaven and back. After a while it fixes itself, but its always super anoying.
They sometimes connect by themselfs after taking them out of the case... sometimes not.
The right touch pad seems to be broken by now and raises the sound regulary to max, which is painfull.
And they sometimes just disconect themselfs and have to be reset... suchst when on a bike.
I dont want to get frustrated when listening to music. Not the point of the indevour.

Excellent sound quality.
Warnings of connection issues in reviews did not occur. Sounds quality excellent and fit also good. Sit relatively flat in ear so don’t catch the wind like Sony XM3 do. Half the price too!

Really nice sound but usability isn't great
The sound is good. I really like the clarity, especially in the upper mid-range. The way it picks out intonations in voices and things like the movement of hands on the guitar fretboard is really nice. I would perhaps like the sound to have a stronger bass at times but overall I like the sound. I also like the EQ controls. The presets are good and the way you can take a standard preset and personalise it is neat.
I found the touch controls to be poor and actually quite problematic. In particular I lost count of the number times I stopped the play with an accidental touch. This happened for example if I tried to adjust my hat or the fit of the Melomanias. I saw there was an option to switch this off and I was quite tempted – but I really do want the option to pause so that wasn’t a solution. I also found the double and triple touches to be difficult to get right, meaning that I got unpredictable results. In the end I was working around these issues by approaching the bud I wanted to touch from the side, placing a steadying finger on the side and then performing the touch action I wanted. This shouldn’t be necessary. To me this is a show stopper and spoils and otherwise nice product.
A few other notes:
Fit. For me the fit and stability were only OK. I struggled to get a fit that was both comfortable and secure (for things like jogging or gym). I felt like this was a trade-off. I suspect this is a personal thing.
Transparency Mode. When the Melomanias were in transparency / hear-through mode there was an audible background white noise. This is by no means a show-stopper but I’d prefer it not to be there.
Call quality. I only tested this briefly and my experience wasn’t great. I could hear the other person clearly but they said I sounded “a long way away”. It is possible that I hadn’t got the settings quite right on this.

Bought as a gift. I love my Melomania 1+ so when my wife was looking at Apple Earbuds I suggested Melomania. She's no audiophile but she very happy with them.
