Powerful bass response
Using a larger cabinet and woofer cone than the smaller SX50, the SX60 is ideal for larger rooms, or for when a more dynamic sound is required. Bass reaches down to a lower depth and the presence of sound is greater, for a more immersive musical experience.
Sound quality first
In selecting the drive units for the SX60, Cambridge Audio put sound quality ahead of all other considerations. The silk dome tweeters give the ideal combination of crisp detail with a smooth refined sound - the ideal match for many budget amplifiers. Paired with this are custom-designed woofers with treated paper cones - a material that gives the SX60 speakers a fast, responsive sound with excellent bass timing.
Rigid MDF cabinets for low distortion
Making sure the drive units sound their very best, the SX60 uses rigid MDF cabinets. Designed to minimise standing waves, the cabinets help in producing a clean, accurate sound. For a well-balanced bass, even at lower volume levels, the SX60 speakers are rear ported. If you’re using the speakers close to a wall or in a smaller room, use the plug-in foam inserts to dampen the bass, for a better-balanced sound.
Designed with attention to detail
Although a budget speaker, there's still been plenty of attention paid to the details. The drive units are not only recessed but also have hidden fixings. This helps give a broader spread of sound as well as improving the speakers’ style. The cable terminals are chunky enough to accept thick cables and are gold-plated for a low resistance connection.

Great speakers
Only had couple of days but have been very impressed with them. CDs and vinyl sound great with lovely tone. Would definitely recommend SX 60.

Highly capable speakers
I am extremely pleased with these speakers. They produce a fantastic depth and clarity of sound across all frequencies, better than many more expensive speakers. Given new life to my CA AM10 amp. Excellent discount from Richers - great deal, brilliant speakers !

Great sound
Replaced aging speakers with Audio SX60 speakers. They pair very nicely with Cambridge Audio AXA35 amp which we bought last year. Sounds great out the box. Can only get better as they bed in. Highly recommended

Fantastic!
Bought these to replace my ageing Toshiba’s and the SX60’s were the perfect choice. Not to big, not to small but still deliver a perfect crisp tone with ample bass.

Excellent, but one design flaw
Excellent speakers that added an unheard clarity to my surround system. I used these as my rear surrounds.
The only negative is that the rubbery coating on the plastic circle that surrounds the woofer went tacky for some unknown reason? I managed to wipe the actual coating off the plastic surrounds whilst trying to clean off the tackiness, unbeknown to me the tackiness was the actual rubber paint. I cleaned it off and as you can see from the pictures, the speakers have a shiny black surround now.

Very happy with my new speakers that really bring extra clarity out of my old Marantz amp. The bass is great and can be dampened by the Guam inserts provided. Smart looking speakers with or without the front grill. I ordered online, it was easy and delivery was actually a day earlier than advised. Even better!
