Streaming - the new way to listen to the highest quality sound

At the heart of the Cyrus THREE is a comprehensive music streamer that's the ideal way of listening to your digital music. Simply connect to your home network via Ethernet or wi-fi and stream from your NAS drive, Mac, PC or laptop computer. In addition, the Cyrus THREE also supports Hi-Res music streaming from Qobuz and Tidal (Subscription required). Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) and DLNA make it easy to connect. Controlling is even easier with the Cyrus Cadence app for Apple iOS devices.

High Resolution sound
The THREE accepts a wide range of file types, including AAC, MP3, WMA, and AIFF. It will also stream high-resolution FLAC and WAV files at up to 192 kHz/24bit - that's better than CD quality. Now you can access all your stored music, effortlessly and in true hi-fi quality.

Bluetooth
For even easier wireless music streaming, the THREE also comes equipped with a Bluetooth receiver built-in. Ideal for when you want some background music or music from a visitor's smartphone, simply pair up devices and you're ready to listen - wirelessly.

The finest CD player
At the heart of the THREE is one of the finest CD players available. Using a custom version of the award-winning Servo Evolution disc reading system, the THREE is able to extract more information from your CDs than you'd have thought possible. With more information available, subtle musical detail becomes startling clear and the music's emotion gives you goose bumps.

Tuned in to DAB, FM and Internet radio
Being fully network connected, the Cyrus THREE is able to take full advantage of Internet radio. The Internet radio service powered by Airable offers access to thousands of radio stations from around the world. As well as Internet radio, there are also both DAB and FM systems available. With the combination of these three systems there's simply no better device for radio fans.

Connect and charge your Apple iPhone or iPad via USB
With Type A USB sockets front and rear you can connect up your iPhone/iPad or USB storage drive. Listen to music from your Apple device whilst also charging it by connecting to one of these USBs. In addition to these there is also a USB Type B connection at the rear to suit a laptop/PC connection.

Connect up everything else
With a wide range of digital and analogue sockets the THREE will make the connection with your other sources. Digital inputs consist of twin optical and twin coaxial connections - perfect for your TV, games console, Blu-ray player and TV set-top box. A set of analogue inputs and outputs ensures traditional sources such as a turntable (with phono pre-amp) are also covered. The outputs can be used for the attachment of an active subwoofer.

Award-winning sound
With quality components and design from their award-winning separates range, the THREE offers truly class-leading sound quality. Proof of this can be seen with the previous Lyric 09's string of awards. With a mighty 150 watts per channel, the THREE effortlessly fills the largest of rooms and can drive the toughest speakers. It's not just about power, though, the THREE is about precision, too. Even during the most intense musical moment the THREE can pick out subtle details that are usually glossed over by lesser hi-fi.

For compact and convenient hi-fi that simply doesn't compromise on sound quality, the Cyrus THREE has got it in one.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Looks great, but 2 units faulty Bought mid June. First unit wouldn’t recognise network, so no Internet radio, and the Cadence app wouldn’t recognise the Stealth. Bluetooth, CD, and USB ports worked fine. Replacement unit much better, and I liked how quickly I could set up internet radio stations from the app. Unfortunately the USB ports wouldn’t recognise my hard drive, which was within spec (and worked well with the first unit). After an email exchange with Cyrus tech support, trying various things, they suggested I return it to the factory. If it worked as described it would be a great buy. Looks good, well built (weighs 9kg), but let down by poor QA. Returned for a refund.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent service as always. I recently bought a Cyrus THREE Stealth from Richer Sounds. Over the past five years my wife and I have bought three all-in-one hi-fis, an expensive Sony OLED telly and very recently a Monitor Audio Pair of Gold 100 bookshelf speakers. Not to mention a fair number of peripherals like speaker cables etc. The service has always been beyond excellent! Every member of staff treats me like an old friend. I cannot say more! LO.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy, after an initial scare! My original foray into true hifi was via separates. I had a Linn Axis deck, QED amp, Linn Index speakers, and a Phillips CD and a Marantz tape deck. Then, 12 years go wanting to pack kit into a smaller area I plumped for an Arcam Solo. However more recently after a change of listening room and other circumstances I demo’d and purchased some Monitor Audio GS 20 floorstanding speakers. The Solo through the GS 20s sounded great- there was a clear soundstage, detail, warmth, dynamics, the lot. happy bunny. ( two tracks became my go- to demos , Paul Simons “ diamonds on the souls of her shoes” and Michael Buble / Nellie Furtado duet Quando Quand Quando” , it sounded as live as I’d ever heard just wonderful. I also to listen to Orchestral music ( big John Barry fan) and easy listening stuff pop, Smooth radio type. The Solo provided an amp, an fm and dab radio and analogue connections for my turntable, which has now become a Rega Planar 3. And then it went wrong. The CD player ( perhaps the most important part for me) started to malfunction, at first intermittently ,it would load up but wouldn’t play, making strange noises,)and then permanently. I wanted a repair, but Arcam stonewall you and refer you to a dealer network and that turned out to be Richer Sounds. Spoke to Diego at Liverpool and it transpires Arcam will charge you £400 flat fee regardless of the issue, and on a 12 year old piece of kit what happens then if it goes wrong again? Time for a change. Diego came up with the Cyrus 3, it does prettty much what the Solo did but with streaming built in, which I don’t do but maybe will learn now. So I could continue to play my valued vinyl collection as well but be aware there is only one set of analogue connections, (though with extra kit I believe that can be overcome). With lockdown I couldn’t demo so it was agreed that I would have up to a month to return if not happy. Excited to hear my music again, got it set up quickly and easily. Demo tracks on. Oh no! Disappointing. Not the same prescence. Plenty of detail and dynamism but the front - to back soundstage was just not there, despite plenty of detail in the width. Was I going to have to send it back? And if so where was I going to go from here, I couldn’t stretch to a Naim Uniti and what else was there that could do all this in one box. Then I discovered my speaker placement had been moved, ( mystery) they weren’t equal, and hey presto! Everything fell into place. It was a matter of inches, so watch out, get yours right and then you can hear the full potential of this unit. So it’s very sensitive to set up. Also It can go Very loud if you want to lift the roof, but not my bag. I thought another review suggests Richer Sounds demo the Three in store elsewhere with Monitor Audio floorstanders, but Silver rather than my Gold standard ones, and they are trying to impress you enough to buy so it should sound good and it does. More detail than the Solo, perhaps a bit less warm but then your own speakers will determine that, but a great sounding unit. I’m happy again, thanks Diego. Sorry I can’t vouch for the streaming, as I’ve not used that yet but I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. Originally for sale at about £3k , so well worth the price I paid. I also took out the 6 year guarantee after my Arcam failure experience, on the basis you get your money back if it’s not used. Not cheap but what’s not to like about that? It’s a keeper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best All in One Hifi - Brilliant Price Bought this last week. Bearing in mind that this was £3,000 when released, its a brilliant buy. Absolutely superb sound which is in a different league to my Cyrus One amp. So much more detail with all types of music. This is mainly due to the fact that the Cyrus Three uses components from the top end Cyrus separates. Excellent quality when streaming through Tidal. Great CD playback also, and even Internet radio sounds decent. I can't recommend this system highly enough.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great sound and specification, lousy functionality I’ve had this about 6 months now. It should be really easy to use - just plug and play. Sadly it is not. CD works well (although I have had at least two episodes of the transport getting stuck with a CD in it). Works well on Bluetooth from an I-phone streaming from Spotify but unfortunately, although convenient, the sound quality is woeful. Anything else just does not work - will not connect to the internet or my NAS, the DAB radio works OK but the interface is appalling and almost unusable. The search functionality relies on the Cyrus phone App which is the worst piece of software I have ever used - it simply does not work in any shape or form. On top of that, the expensive looking remote control doesn’t work well either - it’s very fickle and laggy and drives you up the wall. Overall, it’s an expensive well built and great sounding unit that is let down so very badly by woeful a user interface and appalling functionality. Will be going on E-Bay very soon.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Quality sound. Not great connectivity. Owned for a while now and it’s a love hate thing. To be fair I’m not currently using with great speakers but even so you can tell it has more power and quality than the Marantz cr610 (itself no slouch). It should really for the price. There are a few large irritations, at least for me. These are all to do with its connectivity. For me the biggest irritation is there is no Spotify. I have had to find a Apple airport unit on eBay (as they no longer make them) and connect this through the optical in on the back. This is the only way to play Spotify. If you plug in your iPhone/iPad into the usb on the front of the unit it automatically goes to the Apple Music menu so all you can use is the Apple proprietary software. So I am reliant on a bit of kit that Apple no longer makes to access my Spotify library. this seems to severely limit the flexibility of the unit. The cadence ap is flakey. If Cyrus would look at the firmware for the usb (front) in it would be something but I will not hold my breath. It’s quality audio but somewhat hamstrung by the connectivity issues.
