”A brilliant little streaming system”. ’What Hi-Fi?’ 2020 award-winner.

Bluetooth now standard

For the first time, Denon’s best-selling Hi-Fi mini system comes with Bluetooth connectivity. This lets you wirelessly connect your smartphone or tablet and stream your stored music or favourite streaming services such as Spotify, Apple Music and Deezer. For improved sound quality when not using Bluetooth, a simple switch lets you power down the circuits, creating less internal electrical noise.

The compact system that still puts sound first
Denon’s baby Hi-Fi systems have always been renowned for putting sound first and the DM41 DAB is no different. "Simple & Straight" circuit design minimizes distortion from the input selector, electronic volume control and power amp for sound purity and very low levels of distortion. Working alongside this, Triple Noise Reduction Design (TNRD) works to preserve the signal quality for the most accurate, life-like sound.

DAB radio
The Denon DM41 DAB comes with an impressive sounding tuner radio that's comprehensively equipped. Featuring DAB+, DAB and FM (RDS), the tuner has all your radio needs covered and, as ever, puts sound quality first.

Top quality CD player
Many of us still have a sizeable CD collection and it’s here where the DM41 really excels. Denon’s first-rate engineering gives CDs a smooth, dynamic sound. The player is also flexible enough to playback WMA and MP3 encoded discs.

Connect up three other components
Although a brilliant system in its own right, the DM41DAB reaches out to your other sources, too. If you've got a TV, games console or TV set-top box, you can plug them in using the two standard optical inputs. An analogue AUX input is also included for older sources.

Pump up the bass with an optional subwoofer
By fitting a subwoofer output, Denon gives you a wider choice of speaker options. Instead of medium-sized or floorstanding speakers you can use an active subwoofer with small satellite speakers - the choice is yours.

Perfect for a second room
The compact size makes the DM41 DAB ideal for serious sound in a second room. Many have used their previous Denon M-Series systems in bedrooms, studies and kitchens and have been delighted with the results. The clock, sleep timer and headphone output all help improve the systems functionality.

Proper Hi-Fi in a compact box – the Denon DM41 DAB still leads its class.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant Denon mini CD/Radio machine With so many having problems with the Covid Pandemic it was so refreshing to deal with richersounds who had everything covered. I purchased the Denon DM41 together with 2 small speakers. Everything was so easy to setup and the sound coming from this small unit was remarkable, so clear and so crisp. The DM41 Dab is also able to play MP3 discs which allowed me to record many more tunes on each CD. Brilliant unit altogether and highly recomended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great entry level Denon DM41 .5* So far..... Finding this little gem not half bad for an entry unit. :-). Got it for a spare room set-up, as it is nice and compact, Like all new things..be prepared to play and learn what it can do for you..(patience..lol) The CD player is great! The DAB is very good clear digital output.. as with all receivers.. A GOOD SIGNAL is a must.. I use the supplied wire antenna .. if your not in a good reception area.. you may need a loft/roof aerial etc, If your home dab/radio works ok?.. then this should be fine. MAKE SURE.. you use GOOD quality speakers to get the best from it, I have an old pair of small Missions, Would recommend the latest small Wharfedale 220s for example. All in all... great little buy.. (even better if you get one in the sale times :-)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mostly great Like many people we bought this to replace full size separates and in our case have it set up with a pair of Wharfedale Diamond 9.1s. The sound quality is really impressive, a very clear and refined sound from CDs in particular, and to my ear it is at least as good as the Cambridge Audio separates it has replaced. We have equally found nothing lacking in the reduced output wattage when compared to our old separates. The small form factor is also great and makes it a better fit in our relatively small living room. The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is that there is a small but quite noticeable and annoying lag when we use the built-in Bluetooth functionality to connect to our video projector. We bought it with this use in mind so this is especially frustrating. The lag disappears completely when we use a separate Bluetooth receiver connected via RCAs / phonos so I'm pretty confident the issue lies with the stereo.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So pleased with everything. I bought this bundle deal "unheard" based on the reviews here and What HiFi rating and so pleased with everything. .service, advice, delivery and the great sounds! A long time since I bought a huge Marantz amp and Bose speakers for what I still remember felt like huge money and this kit for probably a quarter of the price in real terms is so much better.Clarity, tone, precision can't fault it. Things have certainly moved on in 25 years. Back soon when you are open for headphones...and maybe a subwoofer, but not really needed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good range of products and great service I bought a Denon mini hifi system which was easy to connect and gives great sound. Not surprising as it is a WhatHiFi award winner.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great HIFI with brilliant sound quality First HIFI bought in 12 years. The quality of the audio is brilliant and I love the Bluetooth function. The order the radio stations appear is a bit weird as it doesn't feel logically or alphabetical order. The setup is really easy and quick.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ver6 good reproduction quality I have had several Denon CD players in the past and have had a much larger and more pensive model for around 15 years and I have always been impressed by their quality. This was bought as a medium priced model as a birthday present and the quality of the speakers at their price is excellent. I am a very satisfied customer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stunning sound quality and easy to use Bought this for our 82 year old neighbour a month ago and he is thrilled with it. It was straightforward to set up and programme and the sound quality is outstanding.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Early view Only owned for a month or so but no issues showing. Radio station tuning is automatic but will only pick up good signals. Otherwise manual tuning works fine. Sound is good through my own Aiwa speakers. Would recommend this item.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice piece of kit It was obvious when doing the research that this was the unit to have. I ordered this item as it was not in stock so was told would have to wait a couple of weeks, no problem as I wasn't in any hurry. A couple of weeks later a message to say it was being delivered. Upon arrival straight out of the box and connected to speakers and a preinstalled aerial, the hardest bit then came in implementing the setup from the disc containing the Operators Manual. So you have your lap top on your knee and the remote in your hand and following the instructions you set up your DAB and FM stations. Never realized there were so many.radio stations. Did not expect and did not have any signal problems as we live about a mile from a main DAB transmitter. Once set up the thing is very easy to use and navigate around, it looks very smart and is small and unimposing. The sound quality both on radio and CD are very good. Classic stuff is lovely and crystal clear. Not used blue tooth yet but I suspect when my youngest son visits with his mobile full of Prog Rock he will have no problems loosening a few roof tiles. The build quality is very impressive. The remote is well made and quite big so not easily lost down the side of the sofa and easily recognizable against other gadgetry remotes i.e T.v,Roku and DVD.( the stresses of modern living!!!) The volume Knob and push buttons have a nice feel of quality when operated and the unit as a whole feels substantial. When changing stations or modes there is an internal quality sounding "click" as it does so. I don't think I will use all the built in facilities that it has but no doubt others will. First impressions are that it is a well made item that once set up is very user friendly at an apparently reasonable price. I am very pleased with the purchase. As regards reliability Time will tell.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleasantly surprised. Read all the reviews but wasn’t expecting too much as it was bought as a temporary replacement to my dedicated separate hifi amp. Very impressed by how things have moved on in the last twenty years! Sadly, now need to subscribe to a streaming service to make the most of it’s abilities.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid name - Solid unit The Denon DM41 DAB is a value for money unit, oozing Denon quality. It is easy to use with a remote which even makes sense to me. Good variety of input ports makes this a winner for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very compact, terrific sound. Bought as a bundle deal 3 weeks ago at a great price compared to cost of individual items. Replaced a top of the range system which was 45 years old. This system sounds brilliant, has great features yet is so compact. Speakers are very well built and look great. So far, very pleased with the purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great little hifi So, i did a lot of research in to getting a decent music system in the kitchen dinner, it was a toss up between the Bose soundwave or the Denon, two totally different systems but i wanted Dab radio plus a CD player an Bluetooth streaming. I definitely made the wright choice with the Denon plus Q Acustic 3020i speakers, briliant sound, i also brought the tilt & turn brackets for the speakers as i have them mounted up high pointing down in to the room BUT the brackets are not tilt & turn at all because if you do both actions the speakers lean at an angle so if you are mounting them in the corners and want to direct towards the centre of the room and down at the same time they do not work they either tilt or turn, i ended up make a block that fitted in to the corner and then attaching the bracket to that slightly disappointing but they are just brackets i suppose. Great value and service as usual from the guys at Richer sounds in Brighton. I even had plenty of change from what the Bose soundwave would have cost me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Denon quality as always... Having used Denon's pro-sound range CD/Bluetooth players for live sound work and been impressed with their quality and reliability - thought I'd buy the DM41 when we needed a player for our new bedroom. Paired this with some old Spendor SA1s - it sounds great for the spoken word stuff we mostly listen to at home. The Bluetooth function is a real bonus and has great coverage in the house.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality sound from CD's & Tuner I needed to replace my existing CD player/Tuner, as my CD's were jumping (despite trying various cleaning methods!) Having seen the excellent reviews for this product I decided to purchase the DM41. The sound quality is excellent, so I am really pleased I chose to upgrade.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good value- Buy one Our old DAB stopped working. Needed a new one. Did not intend to spend more than £150 but read reviews on Denon and decided to spend the extra. REALLY pleased we did as this is so good. Plenty of stations, excellent sound quality, CD quality really good. Not too difficult to set everything up. Running it through small BW speakers rated at 50w. Highly commend it. Price from Richer was best. Delivery within 3 days so very pleased overall.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent small CD/Radio Hi-Fi I bought this player about a month ago and am generally very pleased with it. I found the sound on radio stations too harsh but once I had reduced treble it was exactly how I like it. CD's still sound OK with lower treble. I am using same make speakers I already had. Not used Bluetooth.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features, good sound Installation was easy but my bookcase did present some difficulties which the installer and the helper overcame. My installer thinks that the aerial could be improved and I saved money by using my original speakers but I am thinking of buying Denon speakers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It does everything I want. For the first time in my life I was lucky enough to be able to buy something I wanted and didn’t need. My old stereo was dying but there were still work arounds (plugging in the dvd to play cds and using the remote when the volume dial stopped working). But after extensive reviews I bought this which recommended system - again another first buying the recommended not a nearly ran). And I have to say I don’t regret it at all. The sound is amazing. It connects to everything and streaming from my phone via Bluetooth is a delight. The only niggle it is oddly quiet, you really can’t get it as loud as Bluetooth, when playing vinyl through the aux in. But one wonders whether my turntable is on its last legs.
