BMR - Balanced Mode Radiator - technology
Using a single, BMR drive unit, the MIN 12 satellite speakers give pinpoint accuracy and are bursting with detail right up to high volume levels. BMR technology combines the advantages of both flat panel and conventional speakers, so that the MIN12 satellites won't turn harsh or brittle when the music or film action gets intense.
Latest V4 BMR drivers
Already well established as one of the most popular small speakers around, the Minx MIN12 builds on previous models with a revised BMR drive unit. Now in its fourth generation, the new unit uses a larger magnet for improved efficiency, while driver excursion has increased from 2.2mm to 4mm, giving enhanced lower-midrange for improved integration with a subwoofer. Finally, the BMR unit moves in a more uniform manner, giving a more accurate sound across all frequencies.
Easy to place
Little bigger than a Rubik's Cube, the MIN12 is already incredibly discreet and easy to place. And with a wide range of mounting options, it's flexible in its location. Take your choice from optional matching wall brackets, desktop stands or height-adjustable floorstands - there's a solution for every mounting requirement.

Great sounding PC speakers
Using these in combination with a SUB as a 2.1 setup for my PC. They sound a ton better than what I had before, I noticed the difference straight away.
These are great little speakers, ideal for 2.1 or 5.1 setups.

Tiny box, big sound!
I've used a combination of the CA Minx Min 22, 12 and X 301 sub for a few years now as part of a 3.1 set up. I bought these two speakers as surrounds to finally expand my set up to 5.1.
Combined with the sub, they provide a soundstage that belies their diminutive size. If space is a premium or you just don't want big boxes in your room, these speakers can easily disappear into the background but without sacrificing sound quality. I genuinely cannot find any negatives!

Good looking, small and good sounding
I bought these Minx 12 satellite speakers to add rear surround to my system, making it 7.0 (I don't have a sub because my front L&R are big floorstanding speakers with plenty of low end response).
For such small units, they have a nice tonal balance with smooth yet detailed treble, which was very welcome. I was a little nervous that due to their size, they might be a bit "tinny" sounding. My fears were not realised, I'm pleased to say.
The binding post terminals on the back of the speakers are actually banana plugs, which can be removed if you wish to use pre-terminated cables, which I think is a very nice design choice made by Cambridge Audio.

Ideal Small Satellites
Bought a pair of MIN12s for use as surround satellites in a small room as part of a 5.1.2 setup. Selected the MIN12 as they were discrete, stylish & matched my Cambridge Audio Minx X201 sub. Combined with some larger front speaks & after calibrating the crossover frequency the MIN12s add a surround dimension that I’m very pleased with. Pleased that the terminal connectors can be removed and replaced with banana plugs. Pleased with purchase and service from Richer Sounds was, as always, impeccable.
