Why throw away your old records and cassettes when the Teac LPR550USB MK2 lets you copy them straight onto CD or PC!

Record to CD or your PC via USB

At first glance, the Teac LP-R550USB looks like a normal hi-fi system, but there's more to it than that. With a built-in CD recorder you can record your records and cassette tapes straight onto CD-R or RW discs, without the need for any other components or cables. A unique Track Increment identification system properly separates tracks once recorded onto the CD, while a USB output connects to your PC, allowing you record straight to your hard drive - software required.

Fully functioned
The Teac LP-R550USB isn't just a comprehensive recording unit, it's also a fully featured hi-fi system. Containing a record deck, cassette player, CD player/recorder, FM/AM radio, amplifier and stereo speakers, this Teac system has everything you need in one self-contained unit.

Plays 78s too
The record deck has three speeds, including 78 (separate stylus ideally required) for playback of all record formats. It also has auto return to protect the stylus from damage at the end of the record. The CD player has a full range of playback options including 32-track programming, repeat and shuffle play. Both the cassette player and tuner radio are fully functioned and neatly integrated.

Everything on one compact case
Showing that Teac has thought of everything, the LP-R550 USB also comes with a remote control, headphone socket and an auxiliary input. The auxiliary input lets you hook up another source, such as TV, and listen to/record from that, too. The large, clear display makes it easy to use too.

For a one-stop recording and playback solution, the Teac LP-R550USB MK2 seamlessly combines the old and the new.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I was looking for. Excellent product with really good sound from the built in speakers. Best part is the copying of vinyl and tape on to CD which is why I wanted it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All I need for home audio I did a lot of online research as my limited budget had to go a long way. A trip to the store was very helpful and when I set it up ( easy) I was instantly very pleased with the purchase. It delivers good sound from all media (tapes, LPs and CDs) and with clarity and reasonable volume. In future I might add an ampliefier and bigger speakers but the room is very large and the Teac copes pretty well. Haven't tried the copying to CD feature yet but the Manual is very thorough, decently written, and I'm sure will guide me through. The controls are so intuitive you hardly need the manual for evryday.

I have been listening to all my old records which I haven’t been able to till I found Teac LPR55OUSB MK2. it doesn’t take up too much space. I am delighted with it. I wish I was as pleased with my new Sony TV Sound is awful. I bought it at John Lewis.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does all it says it will and easy to use. Well worth it's money and very easy to use, we had been looking for a machine like this for some time. I wrote a review just after I bought it and can't add much more to it other than say we are really pleased with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product Bought as a Christmas gift for my husband who wanted to play his old LPs and we are really pleased with it; it's easy to operate and sounds good. Haven't tried to put music onto CD yet but am not particularly bothered about that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellant piece of equipment Bought this machine on 16/01/2019 and it has more than lived up to our expectations, easy to operate, put a record on to record and just leave it as it stops recording when the record stops. Pleased it has got a socket for an external aerial as we already had a cable and aerial which was a carry over from our old Technics stacker. Bought over the phone through the Sheffield branch as York was out of stock, came next day.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good little system combines so much into one I bought this teac midi system from Leicester branch guys were fantastic was not happy when I got it home noticed box had been opened and item repackaged badly plug tampered with plastic sleeve ripped no safety stopper on plug thought it was a return or ex display stock phoned shop who said that’s how it came from suppliers felt like I was sold a second hand item not a brand new item that was unopened I phoned teac who said they change plugs on stock from Europe I suggested they put a leaflet in box explaining this so customers know and don’t feel like they have been done over by richer sounds thanks phil

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Record, Cassette & CD player, recorder I'm very pleased with my new music centre. I mainly needed it for recording purposes as I make up my own collections of mixed songs on disc & I can use TDK, Maxell & Verbatim blank discs & it records from tapes & records. Just one fault: it hasn't got a bass/treble adjuster & it's a little bit biased towards the bass sound so perhaps on future models an adjuster could be included. But I do love it, otherwise a nice sound & I like the simplicity & layout of the controls & turntable & tape deck. It's neat. Thank you.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from TEAC Mjnj system Did the job - enabled me to reduce the size of the audio equipment and replace the separates. Sound is satisfactory at moderate levels, although the speech is somewhat fuzzy at low levels. all functions work. Minus points- the remote control is NOT full-function. there is no "off" switch, and the 9 preset stations cannot be selected directly: you must cycle through them to reach the station required.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very versatile I have only recently purchased this. So far my husband seems very pleased with it and is spending hours recording our records and cassettes onto CDs. It has been much admired.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Likely to be the best of its kind at the price As a domestic copying system for transferring vinyl and audio-cassettes to CD it does what it sets out to do. With a free-of-charge RIP program downloaded from the Web, the CDs it produces can be transferred to computer; in addition to the direct computer transfer via the system's USB link. With an analogue input, the system cannot recognize track divisions accurately so these have to be added manually which means you have to watch over the recording process closely. During recording, the system shows the duration of the track being recorded but not the total duration so far accumulated. This means you can risk running out of CD space unexpectedly when assembling untimed recordings from different sources. If you are very nifty with a stop-watch you may be able to avoid this problem: but remember that you will also be manually advancing the track count at the same time so it is a job for a deft button-pusher with excellent mental arithmetic. In general, the information panel is slow to display although not to an annoying degree. The auto-off feature is a good touch and a useful power saver, particularly as it is suspended when a recording is paused. This means you can spend half an hour rummaging for that cassette which you thought was in the pile and not spoil the recording sequence. A background-noise suppression option would be a good idea but would perhaps raise the price significantly. The all-in-one design is a good space-saver and still delivers good sound quality. If you do not want to pay for professional-level equipment this system deserves serious consideration.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Started well great service from Cheltenham but was disappointed they did not have it in stock. As promised call received to say delivery on Wednesday. By Thursday evening became frustrated oneminute it would be delivered, the next the parcel could not be found! Anyway that said when it arrived the Teac was well packed with plenty of padding. The unit looks stunning and was very easy to set up. The sound quality is very good, though probably for a larger room, further speakers may need to be added. The manual was easy to follow so no problem with any of the play facilities. I haven't yet had a chance to use the record facilty but dont see it will be a problem. For me it is perfect and I would reccomend it.
