Still handmade in Brooklyn USA, the SR80e headphones look, feel and sound quite different from the opposition. With the 'e' model, both driver and housing have been redesigned to lower distortion. Polymer damping helps ensure distortion is quelled and detail is brought to the fore.

Very good sound quality, bit lacking in bass
Unusual listening experience in that you can hear everything like you didn't have headphones on at all (all external sound comes in). The sound quality is great, if a bit less bass than I'm used to. Makes films and TV series sound great, voices very clear.
The headband is really good, you just bend it to the shape you want, very light and easy to wear even with a big head like mine.
All parts seem very good quality and also looks very modular and easy to fix if they wore out.
I bought them after seeing a review on the Dankpods Youtube channel, really helpful.

Good sound, and value.
I have had these headphones a couple of weeks, and i have found them to pretty good value for the money, they are comfortable to wear, and the sound is clear, detailed, and open or spacious. there is reasonable bass, but it will not be as pronounced as some headphones, like my old senheiser hd 465, which are darker and more bassy in comparison to the Grado SR80e

Great headphones and with a great price
They sound very clear and open. Very instrumental songs are a blessing to hear with these headphones.
They sound decently without a dedicated DAC but I would recommend to get one to unlock its full potential, no amp is needed

Amazing sound, great quality
I bought this a few weeks ago and they are by far the best headphoned I've ever owned, sparkly and detailed sound, punchy enough but maybe not the ones if you're a massive bass-head.

Sound good to me
I bought these as my Wife has retired and doesn't share my taste in listening material ! The sound quality is good, but bear in mind that at my age I can't hear anything above about 8 kHz. Construction quality is good. The box they came in was flimsy and got squashed in the post - but this is down to Richer Sounds lack of packing abilities rather than Grado. Only downside is that the foam pads make my ears rather warm after 20 minutes.
