Optoma UHD 65 Honest Review
Fantastic service from Scott at Swiss Cottage. I bought this projector earlier this week. It was delivered promptly. Picture quality is fantastic. Unfortunately, there is an issue with the sound, but Richer Sounds have been great and are arranging a replacement. Will be buying all my Sonos gear from them soon. Thanks guys.

Decided to upgrade from an Optoma HD26 to 4K. Initially tried an Optoma UHD60 and was blown away with the increase in picture quality. However, motion blur seemed more obvious than the HD26, especially watching football, so swapped out for a UHD65. Made a big difference. Still some blur, but not nearly as noticeable. Certainly worth the increase in price. Projector is used in a living room with white walls, ceiling, and some light (curtains closed) and is plenty bright enough. As you will find in other reviews for projectors, get a demo or try the projector in your surroundings. One size does not fit all.

A terrific service
Recently bought projector and screen plus sound system for watching films at home. Very impressed by the service which included a home survey, a brilliant fitting job, and a follow up inspection. Geoff from Richer Sounds and Nick from Yorkshire AV gave us total confidence. We haven’t had the system long but so far it’s fantastic and they’ve promised to sort any problems if we give them a ring. Couldn’t be better.

I must say that I didn't go in to purchase this particular projector but they didn't have the one that I wanted and there were none on the company. Peter took me through the alternatives that they had on demo and this (IMO) really showed the difference between them. I have had this about a month now and watched 8 films from Incredibles 2, fifth element to Passengers. I am not someone who fiddles about with test settings and have just run it straight out of the box. I have been blown away by the crispness and colour saturation. I could almost believe I was out in space with Jennifer. PS, wife thinks it is really good to and was well impressed.
Fan noise is minimal, could only hear it when nothing was happening on screen.
If you have the budget I would definitely recommend.

Went into richer sounds for a new amp and walk out with a complete new atmos cinema system which included the UHD65. My old optoma was a HD version which was perfect and i was reluctant to buy a 4k one as the original was ideal.
Best thing i ever did as the difference was black and white. The demo room in the shop didn't do it justice and at home i cant see any pixels on my 100" screen whereas the old one you could.Put it up in position and i am basically using it straight out the box besides the focus and offset etc and with the atmos system...its unbelievable.With tinkering in the menus and it has loads of options, settings and addons, if you know what you are doing, you can perfect it to your environment. Loads a reviews praising this 4k projector and i am more than happy to be added to that list....Went into richer sounds for a new amp, came out skint but very happily skint.
JUST BUY IT.

Great Features and Value for Money
We bought Optoma 4K Projector 10 days ago and we are quite pleased with features and quality it is delivering. Definitely it is value for money except one side note of observation, it's fan noise levels are high than compare with my previous sony projector.
