Rounded edges with protective ‘bumpers’ protect both speakers and surroundings.

JBL have a long history of producing punchy studio monitors and the Control 1 speakers reflect that sound tradition. Magnetic shielding means that these speakers can safely be used at close range to magnetically vulnerable areas. Little big guys!
This is the 5th pair of these guys that I’ve bought. They are at the heart of our home cinema system and are connected to both my mini hi fi systems. The sound is so big from such small speakers. Bass is excellent and treble is quite brash as I like it that way, typically American sound. They are incredible value for money sounding like speakers 3 times the price.

really good buy and amazing sound
I bought these speakers for really little money and had a really positive shock I am passionate about sound and these two little speakers really make an amazing sound when you listening music from vinyl records.
W buying every time, although not those high-end speakers for hundreds of pounds.

Punch above their weight
Have been using for a couple of weeks compact enough for my setup, good sound., after using a 4ohm resistor to bring the impedance up to 8ohm, missed the impedance when I ordered them and was unhappy as the sound was too bright. After adding the resistors absolutely spot on

Bought these as a second pair of passive monitors to use with a basic amp. Surprised by how robust they are. Included wall mounts are a bonus too. Great value at this low price.

Decent speakers for the money
I was actually shopping for outdoor speakers and although these don;t explicitly state that they can be used outside, they look pretty well sealed on inspection so I have bought a pair. They work great for the garden where the last word in sound quality doesn't matter to much for parties. The grilles eentually fall off if you have them angled forward on the brackets, hence only 4 stars, if that doesn't bother you or you have an elastic band handy it would be 5 stars.
