Sports or movie fan? Then why not follow your passion on the big screen, with the BenQ W1050.

See the bigger picture

Sports events and movies are always better on the big screen and, with the possibility of an image up to 300 inches, the BenQ W1050 offers at least five times the screen size of similarly priced TVs. If you’ve a smaller room, the W1050 can still project a mighty 100” screen from just 3m away. Generating a contrast ratio of 15,000:1, you’ll also find the W1050 far more detailed and vibrant than previous budget projectors.

1080p for Full HD resolution
The perfect resolution for Blu-ray and gaming, 1080p Full HD gives noticeably more detail than 720p HD resolution. Suddenly, you'll see texture in the grass on the pitch, subtle detail in wildlife documentaries and a whole new depth of image. The larger the screen and the closer you sit the greater the benefit, making 1080p more impressive on a projector at home compared to a TV set.

Blackout blinds not required
With a brightness of 2200 ANSI, the BenQ W1050 doesn't require a pitch black room to impress. Even during daylight conditions, the W1050 is bright enough to provide a decent picture quality.

Three-mode picture setting
With dedicated picture modes, the projector adjusts it settings to match the content. Sport Mode, Cinema Mode and Vivid TV mode are carefully calibrated to show each genre at its best.

Connect it all
Twin HDMI sockets allows two HD sources, such as a Blu-ray player and games console. There's also a range of analogue connections, including composite and a VGA PC. Add in an audio output, mini-USB plus RS232 control interface and you've got a comprehensive set of sockets that rivals many more expensive projectors.

Make evenings in a true occasion, with the BenQ W1050.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than I was expecting I purchased this for a home gym to run a virtual bike training app on PC. As the projector will get limited use each week I decided to buy cheap and live with the compromises as it wasn’t a primary source for AV or daily watching. I’ve done a basic set up to get it running on HDMI and I’m actually very impressed. The picture quality far exceeds my expectations. Granted it was dark when I tested it, but even with the lights on it’s ok. Pro’s are the image is bright and crisp, set up was super easy, and it comes with a remote. Cons are the remote doesn’t appear to light up, connectivity is limited on the back (Audio is only 3.5mm jack), and there is no lens cap. Aaron at Reading store served us and was very helpful and hospitable so it was a typically first class visit to Richer Sounds.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Picture I bought this just after Christmas and with the help of the store managed to get it set up just as I pictured. The image is clear and is much better than I expected and input lag is barely noticeable for gaming. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a cheap HD projector. Only negative I would add is that the fan noise is noticeable as its fixed to the ceiling above the viewers head.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality picture on my projector. I recently went to Richer Sounds to test a projector. Will was very helpful and we ended up testing the whole range of projectors from top to bottom . Nothing was too much trouble , he did say if I did like one it would be nice not to go off elsewhere and buy online . I promised I would come back and buy from them because they gave me their time and patience to do demonstrations which for me is the best way to see in the flesh rather than buy online and not know what you’re buying . I came back a couple of weeks later and bought the Benq projector which I have to say for me was a stunning projector and at a very very good price . Excellent product crystal clear imaging from corner to corner . Great for presentations and movies . Thanks again I will be shopping with you again in the future as I had done in the past as well .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value for money the BenQ W1050 I bought this a couple of weeks ago. very impressed with the short throw which works well from table to wall. Using it in our office meeting room. Works in a semi darkened room. Doesn't need complete black out. High definition.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Projector I bought this for a wildlife club that hosts monthly speakers in which they feature their photos and videos. The setup was very easy and the performance more than adequate for the largish hall. The images are very sharp and bright. It is a great upgrade to a much older model in terms of smaller size, weight and image quality.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sharp picture and auto refresh The bulb on my previous Optima projector exploded so I had to seek a replacement. This is a better version with auto refresh feature following picture loss
