Now with digital radio, the Cambridge Audio AXR100D provides all the features you need from a stereo receiver. With sound quality to match.

Now with DAB
Already a great all-rounder, the AXR100D stereo receiver now features a built-in DAB, digital radio. This gives you access to a wider range of radio stations, such as BBC 4 Extra, 6 Music and 1 Xtra – without requiring any Internet connection for streaming. Digital sound also gives a hiss-free, reliable reception. An FM tuner is on board for analogue radio, too.

Powerful, 100 watt performer with two sets of speaker outputs
With a mighty 100 watts per channel at hand, the Cambridge Audio AXR100D packs a powerful punch. Providing ample power for the largest rooms, the AXR100D is perfect for filling lofty spaces with smooth, effortless sound. Twin speaker outlets mean you can have a pair of speakers in another room or spread four speakers around a large, open-plan space.

Your whole system connected – including a turntable
Featuring a phono input (for turntable with MM cartridge), the AXR100D is the perfect amp for a vinyl-based system. This is just the beginning, though. Four RCA phono inputs are ideal for a CD player, streamer, games console and other source. There’s also a 3.5mm AUX input at the front that’s handy for temporary connections – such as an MP3 player or smartphone. For more bass, you can add your choice of active subwoofer via the dedicated output.

Digital inputs
As well as being more powerful than the smaller AXR85 model, the AXR100D also features a built-in DAC (Digital to Analogue Convertor) for connection to your digital sources. Twin optical and a coaxial digital input are perfect for hooking up your TV, games console, DVD/Blu-ray player or any other device with a digital output. Connecting digitally means you can take advantage of the latest digital technology built into the AXR100D, for the best sound possible.

Built-in Bluetooth
With Bluetooth built-in, streaming music from your smartphone, tablet or laptop is just a click away. Pair with your device and effortlessly stream your stored music and popular music streaming services such as Spotify, Deezer and Apple Music.

Sleek style
As well as packing in the features and sounding great, the AXR100D combines this with smooth style. The Lunar Grey front panel contrasts with the black top and sides, making it ‘pop’ into crisp focus. The cool white display and logical layout give a timeless style that’s typical of the Cambridge Audio brand. The teardrop profile with wedge foot mirrors the CX Series, showing a strong family link between ranges.

From vinyl to Bluetooth streaming, and everything in between, the Cambridge Audio AXR100D has it covered.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well recommended, I'm extremely grateful. After getting my beloved retro hifi out of storage I realised I needed an upgrade. Being out of the picture for a while I went back to Richer sounds . I was a bit dubious about spending a grand without having followed the market for a while but what I ended up with was beyond what I could've hoped for. Great quality at an amazing price. I am extremely happy and grateful for your advice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sure power+ definition + dab Ok. Working on budget but.... We decided to go back to hi fi - given that our music is 70s 80s and we’re still going with radio 6! So we get Dab built in and a fab amp to drive the speakers (diamond 230s). Thanks Richer sounds for delivering yet again

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Things are moving on I bought this to replace an earlier model amp and tuner and what an improvement. Seems to be the best value for features. The volume from the record deck does not seem as great as from other inputs however, though the deck is 47 years old. It has all the requirements I asked for except a bluetooth output, which at the time of purchase I didn't know I needed. Have to use a long cable to attach the headphones. I found an optical cable a neat way to attach the tv. The downside was I found programming the tuner channels tedious, and requires reading the instructions and concentration.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sounds great across the music and movie spectrum My first foray into separates and I'm so glad i did! If you're unsure - these guys know what they are talking about! Paired with a TEAC 179 Turntable, Mon. Aud. Radius 90s and a Cam. Aud. Minx 201 sub the sound fills the room at all volumes and with all genres; from "Back in Black" to "Back to Black", everything sounds glorious - much softer and warmer than my Denon midi for example, but punchy when needs. Blade Runner 2049 is an immersive experience when its used as a sound bar. It's all in the amp, right? I know its not top end, but i went a little over budget to get DAB and BT, and with good reason and great results. Technical - I did not have the DAB problems others may have talked about - it's clear as a bell. Bluetooth range is fine, within the same room works great. Switching between inputs takes about a second - no problem. Overjoyed - i may never leave this room again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid piece of equipment This is an amplifier with numerous analogue and digital inputs and outputs and an integrated FM/DAB receiver. It worked out of the box, and so far I've used the radio, a connected CD player, Bluetooth and the useful front 3.5mm jack input and the sound is excellent. As well as the speaker output there is a headphone socket on the front which I have also used. Slight niggles: setting up the radio presets is quite fiddly, even with the online manual to hand, and the legends on the remote buttons are in rather minute type. The appearance of the unit - grey with only a few controls - is quite minimalist and would suit almost any decor.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wonderfully detailed sound I bought this AXR100D unit in mid January (following the failure of the 25 year old Technics unit that previously fulfilled the same role) after consulting with Stuart at the Solihull store. At this price point I can't imagine that I could have done much better. The DAB reception is a little sketchy, but I can confirm that this is the case in this part of the house even with an excellent dedicated DAB radio with aerial fully extended. The main purpose of the unit is to serve as a stereo amplifier connected to our PC in the kitchen/living area, and it has breathed glorious new life into the decade old Mission MX-1 speakers with which it is paired. I had always wondered whether the harsh tiled floor and wooden units in the room were the reason for the somewhat unsubtle acoustics and lifeless reedy sound. But no - it was a case of needing some decent (yet relatively inexpensive) equipment to sit between the speakers and source. We'd always thought the old amp was a decent piece of kit, but clearly it was time for it to shuffle off to the big carpeted room in the sky. A treat for the ears, this. Delighted with it.
