Life changing. No exaggeration.
Our household consists of a 24-year-old and a 74-year-old. Both quality music lovers but with different tastes. We have had many speakers over the years, some high end and some mid-range. We fell in love with the idea of the Sonos ecosystem and the ease/freedom of being able to surround yourself with music. We originally purchased the Sonos amp and some matched kef speakers. We were hooked. We then purchased 3 Ikea/Sonos lamp speakers. We weren't quite 'disappointed' but we weren't quite wrapped up in the sound. They were impressive for size but somehow didn't hit that tingling excitement. We'd assumed we had been spoilt by the amp+kef setup.
On a whim, we had another poke around online. I found these Sonos one gen 2 speakers and at just £30 more each than our Ikea ones I was surprised. My only reservations were that they are smaller and in my experience with speakers it is a gamble as to whether they might be tuned better but obviously physically might deliver less punch. We read the reviews, bit the bullet, and decided to go for it. Returned our Ikea speakers and purchased three of these.
Night & Day. The Sonos One speakers have a spark and passion way above their size. They still (two weeks later) surprise me. At low volumes, they have an all-consuming harmony and drive that just fills your soul. At higher volume, they do lose some bass but my god they do not distort, I am amazed how comfortably loud these can become. They make you excited for the next song to come on so you can keep listening. I genuinely have days where I look forward to coming home so I can put a certain song on this little speaker. We have a bungalow so bigger rooms but less house. We have 3 rooms with the Sonos One speakers in and one room with the amp. We will never look back, the freedom and ability to seamlessly bring the house to life with your favourite music is priceless.
The Sonos ecosystem is well worth the investment. I have had standalone bose speakers which have blown me away but the Sonos ecosystem just offers an experience I have never experienced before and will never want to be without. Well worth the extra money.
In conclusion, we are beyond happy with our setup. These Sonos One speakers have blown us away and we are now firm believers in the Sonos ecosystem. It might sound crazy or an exaggeration but the day to day effect on our lives being able to experience music in this way, this easily is in no other words, life-changing.

Great speaker, easy setup, GA not great
I have this speaker in the kitchen and the sound is fantastic. Set up with the Sonos app was really easy and links through seamlessly with my Spotify and Amazon Music accounts. The only area where I feel slightly let down is the Google Assistant function, this seems to be an issue with this model in general though, it just doesn't seem to recognise the most basic of requests. Other than that highly recommended.

Sounds great, but the app could be friendlier
I bought 3 Sonos One (Gen 2s) and I’m really impressed with the sound. I’ve got one in each room and it fills our flat with ease.
My only gripe is the Sonos app. I’ve resorted to using it because I group the speakers into different rooms quite often (e.g. if I want music in the rest of the house but also want to hear the living room from the TV) but the search functionality could be better - having to choose between searching for a song or an artist or an album is a weird choice to me.
And then I’m still (having had them for 2 weeks now) unsure if it’s better to control my Spotify with my Spotify app or the Sonos app that I’ve registered my Spotify account to. Also, Airplay 2 from iPhones seems to have a 2 second input lag for some reason — you press pause on your phone and the speakers pause 2 seconds later.
I haven’t set the voice assistant up on these yet — I’ve been using Sonos Radio (not Sonos Radio HD; which gives you HD, lossless sound and a range of cool Sonos radio stations for £7.99 a month...) and I think it’s easier to select that on the app than it is using any kind of voice assistant.

Very impressed by relatives model, who had also bought from Richer Sounds, Plymouth.
Much improved sound compared with my existing Amazon Echo. Excellent bass and clear crisp vocals and mid range. Staff at Plymouth branch, as always excellent. Telephoned, just after Xmas talked to Jamie, reserved speaker, for collection same day. Brilliant.

Easy set up and great sound
Bought my second Sonos speaker to put in my lounge. First one is in kitchen. Easy to set up and choice of both play same music or separate music for each room. I use both to mainly stream my large collection of music hosted on PC located in upstairs bedroom. I also use to stream internet radio stations. Haven’t used voice controls (Alexa etc.) nor any streaming service e.g. Spotify. Very happy with purchase and incredibly quick and efficient service from Richer Sounds.
