The rating? You choose – read on. The Product: 7.5/10, Richer Sounds: 3/10, Acoustic Energy: 1/10
The speaker does what it’s designed to do well, if you need a low profile, coherent sounding system of hi-fi quality at a moderate price put it on your shopping list. Negative points? It’s only operable by the credit-card sized remote control – so don’t lose it! It’s suitable for input from various sources but might be overloaded by input from conventional audio equipment.
Richer don’t hold this model in stock (and other retailers are few and far between) In consequence their advice is limited. If you have a problem/query as I did, AE don’t bother to respond so you’re on your own*
In summary, it’s a good speaker but there doesn’t seem to be any value in purchasing from Richer and Acoustic Energy need to support them if they sell them direct.
*I solved my problem by spending £40 on some attenuators and £20 on a spare remote. My £250 speaker has cost more than £300!
