Small in size but bold in sound, the Canton Movie 75 speakers punch hard.

Two-way satellite speakers

The four matched satellite speakers feature separate tweeters and woofers for high clarity sound. With 15mm aluminium dome tweeters, treble detail is bright and vivid, with even subtle details clearly heard. Matching this are the metallised woofers that provide exceptionally clear dialogue and superb imaging for an enveloping sound.

Matching centre speaker and subwoofer
To ensure the best dialogue quality possible, the centre speaker uses twin woofers for a broader spread of sound and accurate vocal to image location. The driver type matches the other satellite speakers, ensuring the sound remains tonally balanced as it crosses between speakers. With its active bass cone, the 75 sub can provide real thunder when required, but also integrates well with the other speakers, without sounding boomy or overblown.

Good looking too
Smartly finished in black, the solid cabinets are the perfect match for most TVs and home cinema electronics. The satellite speakers also come complete with wall brackets, ensuring easy and flexible mounting.

For a small and unobtrusive speaker package that sounds anything but, the Canton Movie 75 is a real ear-opener!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from CANTON MOVIE 75 These are well built, good quality speakers. They look good, sounds great. Using them with Denon AVR X2300 AV. Would recomend for smaller rooms. Setup is straight forward, you need to have audio cables ready, I have put them on stands. Good purchase. Recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shockingly Good. I bought these speakers recently, and I was looking for something more 'discreet' than floor standing speakers. I knew that I was probably going to have to compromise on sound so I purchased an excellent Atmos Receiver as I didn't want to make a compromise on that. After much thought and umming and ahhing, I settled on the Canton Movie 75's. When the package arrived my immediate thought was 'what have I done' - these speakers are tiny, really tiny - fit in the palm of your hand tiny. They did feel solid but, oh my, so tiny. The Sub offered a little more confidence. I set about putting it all together - good, OFC wiring only and connected up my new AMP. Currently 5.1 but I've got two Canton Plus x3's coming for the '2' in the 5.1.2 All set up, I was still nervous - these are so tiny. The AMP went through its set up routine and configured the speakers. All complete and on went Gravity as my first play... and... ... well, they really do belie their size. With the SUB crossing over at 130hz (the speakers are 120hz min) and taking over the lower frequencies these SAT's sing like songbirds. Everything I threw at them they took effortlessly. Star Wars, Ben Hur, Gravity, Mad Max, Skull Island... everything was great. Nothing felt muffled, the trebles were clear without being piercing and the Centre performed admirably - recreating clear and believable dialogue. The sound stage was engaging and enveloped the seating position perfectly - sounds moving around the stage effortlessly. These speakers really surprised me. At first glance I thought that I would almost certainly be returning them. Now, now you'd have to prize them out of my cold, dead hands. They are keepers, for sure. For the price, these beauties are excellent. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very impressed for the price range. Very! I wanted another 5.1 set up for my gaming room. As a gamer since birth and a composer of soundtracks I enjoy my sound. I upgraded my Sony set up with a Denon Amp and JBL speakers but unfortunately the Subwoofer was not for me with it's auto function... I called the guys at Richer Sounds and they replaced the set with the Canton... absolutely brilliant. Sub is top class...speaker's are solid on build and I manually set up a strong and flexible sound field in my room. The sub is incredibly flexible. Nice clarity on the center speaker. The guys at Richer Sounds were both welcoming and helpful and the exchange of speakers was swift. Highly recommended both the audio gear I purchased and Richer Sounds Oxford. Thank you.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great speakers I bought this surrond sound system from richer sound last month , They are quite heavy really good quality and the sound quality is great the only downside was the cable attachments as they have push button and its quite hard to fit your cables and i hD to trim my cables down to fit them as they are quite small.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow! I bought these speakers on advice from a guy at Richer Sounds. The satellite speakers are pretty small but give fantastic sound for both movies and music. Together with a Fantastic subwoofer makes this item a great sounding package.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So pleased with these speakers I bought a set of these speakers just before Christmas to go with a the new Sony STRDN1080 amp. Never one to leap into a purchase like this with more than adequate checking of reviews etc. Not a problem for the amp, but finding info on these speakers was a little more difficult, so eventually I agreed a time with the guys in the Solihull shop for a demo, They set up the speakers along with the Sony amp for me to listen to before I decided on the purchase, as they had recommended these speakers to me as I did not wish to pay too much initially for a set. Setting them up at home was relatively simple helped by the excellent speaker setup integrated into the amp. Once I was happy with the positioning of the speakers, I settled down to watch a movie (Avatar) that I had recorded on Film4 on my Skybox+ box (not even in 4k) some time ago. WOW! what a fabulous experience it was, the sound was crisp and clear during the vocals and the surround sound experience (5.1, not yet got Dolby Atmos speakers) was unbelievable, if you know the film, the battle scenes and the Tree bombing are just something else! The speakers are amazing for the price and just the right size for an average size room (15 feet x 14 feet) Although I don't think they would be out of place in a larger room. They easily cope with the 100w power of the Sony amp. Not that I could have it on full anyway without upsetting the neighbours in the next street! You only have to pick up one of the small surround speakers to realise they may be a reasonable price but they are also excellent quality, they are quite heavy and solid for there size, but are easily mounted on reasonably priced multi purpose speaker stands (no need to pay silly money for dedicated stands). Just one last quick comment, I have owned a dedicated surround sound system in the past (which eventually became outdated) eventually changing to a quite expensive sound bar when I purchased a new tv. Big costly mistake a sound bar cannot compare with a surround system even though it may cost nearly as much! Finally a big thank you to the guys at Solihull for their trouble, recommendations and expertise, nothing was too much trouble, especially as this was a busy time of year, their knowledge and advice made me feel at ease when making this purchase, which is far more than can be said for that other large electrical retailer on the high street.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely compact but dynamic speakers Replacement of an old all in one system with these speakers and the Pioneer VSX-520 5.1 Amp. Really impressed with the sound output, these can really kick if you want them to. OK, they are not true Hifi quality, but work perfectly for movies and above acceptable for music. Still running in so will probably get better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A capable 5.1 system for a good price. This is my first surround sound system and setting it up was very easy with the wall brackets supplied. Playing with the AV to get the balance right showed how well the speakers coped with no loss of clarity even at their limits. At under £300, the Canton Movie 75 may seem cheap compared to others but it is more than capable for any home set up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Value Packaged well and easy for mount on walls with simple brackets. These speakers are in quite a large room and seem to handle themselves well. for the price point the sound is very good. took a little time to set the balance up right with my AV amp nad set the controls for the sub woofer but im happy and would reccommend.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Canton can't deliver After waiting for over two weeks for my delivery, my Canton speaker package arrived and I found it be of poor sound quality than the system I already had, so I returned it and opted for a Cambridge system that I am now very happy with.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful looks and sound Bought just over a week ago on recommendation of staff in Reading store. Installed with a new Yamaha receiver and sound is gorgeous, making watching all kinds of movies and TV dramas even more pleasurable: clearer vocals more detail and depth in soundscapes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great sound - Fiddly connections These speakers did exactly what I needed. They are compact and discrete, easy to mount on the wall with included brackets. The sound from them (to a non-audiophile like me) is excellent with richness and depth which belies their size. One downside... I was using QED79 speaker cable. Very ordinary and very standard stuff and I *just* managed after many attempts, lots of swearing and wondering if I was doing something wrong, to get the speaker wire into the connection holes/retainers on these speakers. Best to use the thinnest wire you can put up with.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceeded Expectation Purchased the Canton Movie 75 to provide surround sound gaming audio and music playback from my PC. I paired it with a Denon AVRX2200W and I was blown away with the sound quality once i'd ran the Audyssey setup. The satellites and centre are smaller than the Panasonic PT570 surround sound speakers they replaced, but the sound quality is far superior. The subwoofer is on the large side compared the the Panasonic, but provides beautiful bass. I left it set at half volume for setup, but had to turn it down a little after setup as it was overpowering. The design of the speakers and sub are better in real life than in the pictures. I have only used it with games and music so cannot comment on movie playback, but if it's as good as the music and gaming experience, you won't regret it. I cannot reccommed this system enough. You won't be disappointed with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprisingly powerful & clear for the size I had bought the Pioneer HTP-072 package which was excellent value for money as it contained an AV amp & 5.1 speakers for £199. However, the speakers lacked clarity when pushed. Consequently, I decided to upgrade, but didn't want to spend a lot. I was recommended the Canton Movie 75 package by Richer Sounds in Chiswick. The speakers were all approximately the same size as the Pioneers i.e. small. However, they were obviously of higher quality - heavier, good quality wire terminals & an active sub. The sound was noticeably better straight away. The centre speaker produces clear dialogue & the satellites are clear even when turned up. The sub is very powerful. I have wooden floors which amplify bass, so I only have it at a third volume. NB do make sure you position the speakers as recommended, even 30cm in height can make a significant difference. One very minor negative: the sub came with a two-pin power lead, so I had to buy an adaptor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb small home cinema speakers I splashed out a little more than I had bugetted for on these, on staff recommendation (as I believe in "you get what you pay for") - and I am happy to say that was absolutely the right decision!! I live in a small bedsit, with several people above below and to the side of me, so haven't been able to have these up really loud yet - but even at low level, the sound is clear and beats the small system I have set up for my PC (which I had always thought pretty good for their size!) They are small enough to tuck away even in larger homes - but powerful enough to deliver the goods in most homes. They look great on stands, but come provided with wall mounts. They feel reassuringly heavy to hold, and deliver good and clear sound at any level - especially late at night, without disturbing the neighbours! Even without the subwoofer switched on, the sound is good and clear enough to enjoy any movie - which pleasantly surprised me. Very happy with this!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy set up and great sound I bought this unit to replace my old Onkyo unit and it didn't disappoint. It has loads of useful features such as Apple Air Play, Internet radio and bluetooth. The set-up assistant made it easy to get up and running but if you want to fine-tune the settings there are loads of adjustments. The sound is very impressive and realistic. I would have no problem recommending this product and the staff of Richer Sounds, Reading
