Superb sound, superb advice!
I bought this optical cable a few weeks ago to hook up my sound bar + woofer to my tv as it’s the best connection available on the soundbar itself. I went in not knowing much about different brands of cables etc, but I tend to get sucked in by the marketing cliches of “gold” or “copper plated” cables. The advice I got in store was invaluable, completely impartial and made me realise that just because something costs more, it’s not necessarily better. Especially when it comes to optical cables which all seem to be pretty much equal. Definitely not the kind of advice I would have been given in ‘other’ stores.
The cable itself has been everything I expected, and outputs the TV sound infinitely better than the tv’s built in speakers.
All round, very happy with the purchase and the advice given. Will most definitely be returning for any electronics from now on.

Fantastic sound, I just love it.
I wish I got this when I bought the TV years ago. My LG remote conects to the bottom of the TV, the sound bar blocked the remote control from working. I built a simple shelf, painted it black, raising the TV problem solved.

Great value
For a while I had been thinking of playing my TV through my DAC and into my rather old, but high quality, Naim amps. Having never bought an optical cable before this was a shot in the dark, but not only is it long enough to attach to the TV, it had caps to protect the cable ends, and I can't imagine how a more expensive cable will transmit a digital signal better, so it has to be great value at £13.

Crisp stereo sound
I'm not a fan of sound bars or surround systems...I just like well separated stereo. I have been using phono leads out of Scart converter and into a Cambridge amps and out to a pair of Gales...but the chap at Richer sounds said that Scart was a weak link and I should use the optical output on the TV into the optical input on the amp. And he was absolutely right. The sound is a huge improvement. Gone is the slightly buddy and wooly sound...particularly with speech and now I have crisp clarity and huge range with terrific separation. Thirty something quid very well spent.
