”These hugely enjoyable speakers stand out among the competition.”– ‘What Hi-Fi’ 2018 award winner.

Award-winning sound

Combining traditional Mission design, such as inverse driver geometry, with brand new technology, the QX2 speakers have quickly become a class-leader. The combination of engaging sound, sleek good looks and quality build has meant these speakers have quickly built a reputation as the ones to beat.

Classic all-rounder
Not too big or too small, the QX-2 speakers are ideal for most rooms. They’re easy enough to drive with a mini system but also easily capable of getting the best out of a more serious Hi-Fi separates system. A broad frequency response means they’ll even produce surprisingly deep bass for a standmount speaker.

Crystal-clear clarity
Featuring a brand new ‘ring dome’ design, these Mission speakers offer the perfect balance of stunning musical detail with a smooth, low distortion output. Thanks to a twin cavity venting system, backpressure is reduced, meaning the treble response can ‘breathe’. Offering low resonance and the purest detail, the QX speakers are a class above at the top end.

Natural vocals and dynamic attack – in perfect harmony
Formed from a mixture of soft pulp and acrylic fibre, the seam-free woofer is designed for effortless movement and maximum clarity. For the dynamic thrill you’d expect from Mission speakers, a clever DiaDrive, sub cone system transfers maximum transient impact directly from the motor system – meaning that the crack of a drum is crisp and instantaneous.

Ultra-low distortion
Mission have put much work into the QX-Series to reduce distortion. As well as the vented treble unit and DiaDrive woofer, a new slot port system enhances airflow leaving the cabinet. Reduced pressure here enhances the low frequency response without introducing distortion.

Classic Mission geometry for seamless sound
The reverse geometry layout (tweeter below the woofer) is a classic Mission design signature that works as well today as it always has. By positioning the treble unit below the woofer, the length of soundwaves from each to your ears is equalised. Known as ‘time alignment’, this is the reason why this, and many other Mission speakers, sound so ‘together’ and up-beat.

Sleek design with aluminium top plate
As well as looking sleek, the aluminium top plate enhances the cabinet’s rigidity – lowering distortion even further. Another cool detail is the comb-tooth woofer trim. This neatly hides the fixing bolts and contrasts with the speaker’s smooth good looks. Available in Blackwood, Rosewood, Walnut and White, there’s a finish to suit every room.

Take a listen to the QX-2 and hear another Mission legend in the making.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big speakers even bigger sound! Bought these a couple of weeks ago. Wanted an upgrade from my Q Acoustics 3020s which are great speakers but lack any real bass. After trawling reviews I went for these Missions. They are substantial speakers and quite heavy, you can feel there is alot in them. I've got them connected to my Marantz pm6006 and I listen to mainly Flac files. I expected these speakers to be very bass heavy but they aren't. The bass is there when needed but is very clean sounding. In fact these speakers are really entertaining they have handled everything I throw at them from rock to classical beautifully. Given the awards they have won they are a bargain at the price richer sounds sell them at. Just make sure your bookshelf or stands are big enough! I've got them on Nexus 6s and I'm considering an upgrade to one's with a bigger top plate. Still more listening to do but I'm very happy I picked these speakers!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One word. Impressive! First of all I have to mention quality control issues in Mission. When I received my speakers I've discovered that there are some spots where paint wasn't, shall we say, up to standard. But reacher sounds got it sorted in no time and two days later they have send me another pair, this time in perfect condition. And here my review really starts. My speakers are blackwood and I absolutely love the finish. Before they arrived I had my doubts regarding colour because I haven't seen them live. When they arrived I was positively surprised. Veneer is excellent quality, the speaker looks stunning. Top and bottom plate made of aluminium feels premium. In my opinion it's one of the prettiest speakers out there. But we're buying speakers to listen to them. And Mission QX2 does not disappoint. The sound quality is great. Deep bass, middle reach, with highs crisp. I'm no expert, but to my taste these are exceptional quality for the price. Overall. I would recommend QX2 to anyone who wants fairly inexpensive speakers that not only sound great, but are great to look at.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful speakers Bought alongside some B&W 606 speakers, the first thing to say is just how heavy and beautifully made they are. They make the 606 speakers feel cheap by comparison. They look great and although it's early days listening to them and while they cannot compete with the beautiful sound of the 606 they are really not by behind... They need plenty of power to get them singing but when they do, holy smoke they produce bass that will shake the walls I cannot imagine the damage a pair of QX5's would do! Really impressed with them and just like the little Mission LX2's they are beautifully built speakers that have that quality, would last years feeling. They are pretty boxy in proportions at around 9kg a piece so you'd need one heck of a shelf so I'll probably get some stands to get the best out of them. There's not a many reviews for these online and like the Mission LX2+ they come and go but don't hesitate, if you want a pair of speakers that look and sound wonderful go for it... I cannot think of a direct competitor at this money that can even come close to the build quality and sound these things offer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing bass I'm amazed with the low end capability of these speakers, for a bookshelf they pack some punch. I'm also able to push them far far beyond normal listening level without any distortion

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolute crackers I've had these a couple of weeks and I can't recommend these highly enough. Would echo what others have said about them being really well balanced. Tight, rich base, lovely detail on the mids and highs. A really satisfying sound. I've got a set of monitor audio s 2's (that I love) which retailed at more than double what I paid for these and I honestly think I prefer the qx2's. I was in 2 minds about buying them as there wasn't much online about them relative to competitors. If they are on your radar then don't hesitate to push the button on them. If they aren't on your radar, they should be.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant speakers I brought these speakers to replace ones I have owned for over 20 years. The build quality and sound it superb for the price. More importantly they deliver a beautiful balance of full sound with the right balance of tight bass, rich mid range and crystal clear detail...cannot fault these black boxes in any way! Definitely recommend

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MISSION QX2 I bought the Qx2's in December 2019. The first thing I noticed was their weight. A flimsy shelf won't do. I used DBB (Dynamic Bass Boost) on the tone control to start with. The bass was fantastic - for reggae lovers! Personally I like the sound without DBB. I like a more natural sound and to hear seperation from the top end. The sound is clear and you can hear the different instruments and vocals as if you're in the room. Putting the bass speaker on the top(upside down) is a novel idea but works well. The sound is well rounded by the time it reaches the listner. For the price they're a remarkable pair of speakers. They look good and sound well above their weight ....and they're not light!
