Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great picture and wonderful ambilight feature There is nothing not to like, it does what I need a smart HDTV to do, easy set up, worked first time, great picture and immersive ambilight feature. All apps work seamlessly which has allowed me to ditch Virgin Media Tivio box and reduce my monthly costs accordingly which is an added bonus. I paired the TV with an upgraded AV set up which the TV definitely benefits from.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Conflicted Took delivery of this TV on a Sunday morning and had the it hooked up to my Onkyo Txsr608 receiver & 5.1surround system and connected the Ambilight+hue to my hue Bridge and 2 hue bulbs. First impression of set were obviously set on the size of the thing, it's a beast! It looks decent too. Unfortunately, the picture on the set failed to keep the momentum of the impression - out of the box settings delivered a very poor picture compared to the 10 year old Samsung it was replacing. Plenty of tinkering later, picture is much better but still having issues with blacks, in certain scenes I get quite upset that I 'upgraded' my trusty old plasma to this, however, I'm hopeful that more tinkering may lead to a better picture. On a positive note, the picture is surprisingly vivid and deals extremely well with animated material. Another annoyance, after initial setup, the Ambilight+hue was working great and bulbs complemented the Ambilight set seamlessly - was very impressed. When I went back to the set the next morning, the bulbs didn't react to the set anymore. Tried to reconfigure the hue bridge, but the TV no longer recognises it. Have tried to resolve issue to no avail, factory reset of all equipment and positioned everything as close as possible but NADA. Awaiting response from Philips customer service on this. 5 days in, I'm conflicted. For the price, you get alot of TV, but the bugs and the difficulty of achieving a decent picture have made the experience a bit of a slog and nowhere near as enjoyable as I would have liked. Fingers crossed things improve when I get a chance to tinker further at the weekend or I may have to return the set and look for something else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really great service and delivery I ordered a large TV during lockdown that wouldn’t fit in my car. Found the tv I wanted for a brilliant price in Richer Sounds. Delivered really quickly and carefully. The tv itself is stunning. Incredible picture quality and although the sound is reasonable I’ll be researching speakers for it just to hear it at its optimum. The Ambilight functionality is brilliant. I thought it’d be a little gimmicky or even off-putting but I think it adds to the whole experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best 75” TV out there ! Only had it for around 2 weeks but am really impressed with the picture quality but particular the ambient lights. Linked to a further 2 Iris lamps and just enhances the whole experience. Watching Netflix Via HDR is simply incredible. The only slight downside to the TV is navigation between settings and views but not a problem and soon get used to it. Just waiting on Disney + to be added to App so can watch via HDR.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good low-price 75 inch TV I was looking at getting a refurbished Samsung S90, but on the day I went to buy it, it had sold; so I considered other 75 inch options. There were very few reviews of this TV, but there was a very helpful thread on AVForums with owners giving their thoughts. Having a newborn and young child, I don't get much time to watch TV; films have to be watched over two or more nights; and I'm generally reading something else at the same time, therefore wasn't really likely to care just how black or bright it can go so paying for something more expensive might have proved a waste of money. The TV has a grey plastic bezel. This doesn't look as nice as some of the near bezel-less designs if you pay more for a TV, and some people would probably describe this as ugly; but again for the price I don't mind. The menu is easy enough to use and switch between TV, netflix, and prime. It has a basic list of other apps, but this is lacking many with no option to download them. Most noticeably, this doesn't have Sky's 'NowTV,' which means I have to use my Xbox to watch this. While not ideal, this is a minor inconvenience, and just means I have to wait a few minutes while I turn the Xbox on, which can usually be used to go and get a drink or something. Other reviews I have read comment on the slow speed and clunkiness of switching between apps; it may be that I'm out of touch with how quickly a modern TV can do this, but it doesn't seem bad and certainly hasn't bothered me. (My other TV to compare this with is a 55 inch upper-mid range 2016 Samsung) On the AVForums thread there is a fair bit of mention of the colours being wildly-inaccurate when you use this out of the box. The first real thing I watched was 1917, and I will say that the soldier's leather jerkins did look yellow rather than brown, but this was bearable. Over the next few days I changed the colour settings on my TV to those suggested by several other users on AVForums, and everything else I've watched has been great with no further colour issues. I'm definitely no expert at spotting flaws in TVs, or any of the technical aspects, but I like to think I'm pretty attentive and have good eyesight. I've watched a range of other content, demos, test clips, and space programmes, and everything has been good. I haven't had a high-end TV to be able to compare what the HDR features would look like on a £3k+ TV, but it looks good enough on this for me. Again, black levels are good enough to enjoy the content of the film rather than worry about light spilling. (If shops had been opened and I had been able to compare the image from a pricey QLED, who knows what conclusions I would have reached and how this would have changed my decision, but I'm happy.) As for ambilight - I've never really bought-in to the idea of being immersed in what you're watching; I've always known that I'm sitting at home in my living room. For this reason, I can't say that ambilight adds anything, but it is a fun feature and doesn't take anything away. Other people I've shown it to like it, and it does a good job of matching the lights to what's on the screen. Overall, I was prepared to not like this TV, and within the limited amount of TV viewing I get to do I was looking for reasons not to like it. I unpacked the box carefully in preparation to send it back within the 14-day returns period, but instead I was very pleased with what the TV does and it fulfils the needs I have right now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Value, warranty and service Had the Philips 75pus6754 for a week now, have to say for the price it is a very good TV. Picture quality is very impressive, sound really is not that bad, Ambilight is a good feature when watching movies, my only gripe was that I had lip sync problems with my sky+ HD box, took me 3 days to sort out, but not the tv's fault, and boy is it a big TV, bought it from the telesales guys, who were very helpful and patient, as I picked his brains because I could not make up my mind between the 75 and 70 inch version decided to get the 75 inch as it is a ips panel, and I needed wide viewing angles, otherwise I may have gone for the 70 inch which is a va panel, and really is fantastic value. All in all very good for the price, if you want a monster tv with a 6 year warranty and helpful staff,, buy this tv and buy it from Richer Sounds
