Now better than ever, the REL T5i is still the ultimate compact subwoofer.

A high quality design refined

The REL T5i builds on the original by offering an upgraded, lighter woofer cone, giving an even faster response. The cabinet uses thicker walls for reduced distortion and even the feet have been enhanced - all in an effort to improve the solidity and speed of response.

High current 125 watt amplifier for vice-like grip
Keeping the revised bass cone under tight control is REL's tried and tested 125 watt Class A/B amplifier. Unlike other active subwoofers that use digital amplifiers, REL have stuck to the more traditional Class A/B transistor design. Although more expensive to produce, the upside is class-leading attack and control. Unlike lesser subs, the bass starts and stops exactly when it should with superb agility and no 'overhang' to its response.

Reliable performer
Thanks to a large heatsink on the rear of the sub, the T5i is kept cool, giving many years of reliable performance. Used in over 100, 000 units to date, these REL amplifiers have an excellent track record for reliability.

Separate levels pre-set for your hi-fi and home cinema
If you use your subwoofer for both home cinema and hi-fi, the REL T5i is ideal. Traditionally, the problem with using a sub with both home cinema and music systems is the difference in presence required. Whereas films often require the sub to be turned up for the greatest thrills, music demands a more subtle approach. With the REL T5i you have separate level controls for stereo and LFE .1 surround. This means you get the ideal levels for both hi-fi and AV, without the need to constantly change the settings.

High quality finish
With REL's legendary build quality and finish, the T5i has to be one of the most attractive-looking subwoofers in its class. Featuring a deep, piano gloss finish and logoed aluminium feet, this is one subwoofer you'll be proud to have on show.

Highly compact yet hugely capable, the REL T5i is still the room-friendly sub of choice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally, proper low end in a small room I’ve struggled with room modes causing low end boom in my listening room for years. It’s an awkward, square room about 3.5 x 3.5m. Unless I pulled speakers a domestically impractical distance from the back wall that boom would ring out on the low stuff. Big, small or medium floorstanders, all the same problem. The solution has been some quality small stand mounted speakers plus the T5i. Plenty of low end and with careful subwoofer placement no boom! Don’t let the size fool you, the T5i is small and discrete but works brilliantly in a small room. Thinking of getting a second one for a stereo pair!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great service and nice sub. I bought this about 2 weeks ago and was nervous about buying unheard. Knowing Richer Sounds I was confident that if anything wasn't to my liking it would be sorted so I bought it. The sub is easy to set up IF you are willing to use the REL online tutorials and the high-level cable. Give it a few days to break in and then get ready for subtle bass. It's not like the normal home cinema subs I have had in that it is less booms rumble and more subtle weight. It works great with my monitor audio radius hd kit so much so I bought a Tzero to support the centre channel. I'm a regular with RS for 20 plus years so was confident and as per usual it all went to plan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New Yamaha amplifier purchased and got REL T5i When I replaced my amplifier, I was advised by YASH at Swiss cottage branch to replace my Bose Subwoofer. He recommended REL T5i and the sound is amazing. The staff are very knowledgeable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bought for music primarily Bought to go with my Denon 2.1 channel receiver (https://www.denon.co.uk/uk/product/hifi/amplifier/dra800h) and Mordaunt Short MS 914 floor standing speakers to expand the sound for music primarily. This they do very well and I am happy with them for this purpose. I am glad I didn't go for the smaller REL T-Zero V2 though as I don't think they would have given enough beyond what the MS 914 already can do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't get fooled by the small footprint I've bought two t5i subs to integrate in my stereo system. I managed to get very good integration with my speakers (P3esr) in my quite irregular room and I'm really loving my "new" sound. This little things are powerful. I've ended up settings the crossover at 10 and the volume at 11 (out of a scale of 40). The sound I get is very "musical" and engaging. I'll buy them again with no hesitation.
