Great balanced speaker!
Purchased this around 10 days ago having done a lot of research. It fulfils my needs for a well balanced speaker with very good mid range and more than adequate bass. The Sonos Five also allows me to use Alexa and also to connect a turntable which is excellent. Finally, as it has Airplay 2, I am able to listen to my TV through these speakers (via Apple TV) with no lip sync issues. Overall, just what I was looking for and Richer Sounds were extremely efficient in processing my order.

Installation niggles sour the experince
Felt obliged to upgrade to Sonos S2 compatibile products with the upgrade programme. Spending this kind of money for this reason is always a little soulless. One of the Fives initially showed up on the system but is now simple "off line". Will need to contact Sonos support between 09h00 and 17h00 Monday to Friday...not always practical. The other works perfectly and the sound, as expected, is pretty good. Guys in store helpful. Hadn't realised these get delivered to your house at a later date after take-in in your products to upgrade.

Hi, just a quick word of thanks to Joe at the Tunbridge Wells shop for his help and advice: I've had some decent products over the years from Mission, Denon, KEF and Q Acoustics, but This is the first time I've felt a review was justified: I've had some decent products over the years from Mission, Denon, KEF and Q Acoustics, but the Sonos 5 blows them into the weeds. The richness and clarity from a one box system beggars belief. Fantastic sound and the app is fine - from opening the box to having David Stewart and Candy Dulfer filling the house courtesy of Spotify, was under 10 minutes.

All you really need
It all started when I bought Sonos move to use for outdoors and around the house. The sound quality was better than I expected and on a different level compared to other speakers. Now I have two Sonos fives and cannot be any happier. The sound is powerful, clear, very well balanced. App is amazing too, can connect to pretty much any service. If you have Alexa in your home it gets even better.. if you don’t, for me mostly single touch of a button works a treat. It remembers previously played playlist and resumes from there.. build quality is superb, and it looks absolutely stunning wherever you decide to put it, no matter the orientation - horizontal, o vertical for real stereo pair. Highly recommended!
