”As the basis of a budget music system, it’s impressive and has to be regarded as a bit of a star.”- ‘Hi-Fi Choice’ ‘Recommended – 5 Star review’

Punchy performer

Despite its compact size, the Tangent Ampster BT II is ‘full fat’ when it comes to power output. With its 2 x 25 watt power output, this baby amp has ample power to deliver room-filling sound in small and medium-sized spaces. For extra bass, simply hook up your choice of active subwoofer to the dedicated sub output.

Wireless Bluetooth connection
Connect to your smartphone or tablet and listen out loud, without the hassle of cables. The quality Bluetooth 4.0 connection ensures a high quality, low loss connection for a smooth and lifelike sound.

Wire up your TV and music sources, too
Featuring an optical digital input and two line level inputs, this little amp has the capacity for connecting a full system. You can use the optical digital or AUX inputs for your TV, leaving the other sockets available for the matching Tangent Tuner and CD player – or any other sources components.

Wake on Bluetooth and AUX
Helping save you energy, the Ampster BT II switches into standby when no Bluetooth signal is detected. Once a music signal is detected, it wakes automatically – as it does with an AUX input, too. This is ideal when used with a network device, such as Chromecast Audio, Apple AirPort Express or similar product, as Ampster BT II turns on as soon as you start playing music through your network.

Compact size
Narrower than most Hi-Fi separates, the compact Tangent Ampster BT II fits tighter spaces. The matching tuner and CD player make up a neat system that has the convenience of a mini system with the sound quality of separates.

System remote control and outboard IR sensor
The supplied remote control doesn’t just operate the amp, it also controls a full tangent system, including CD player and tuner – making the full Tangent system every bit as convenient as an all-in-one system. Also included is an outboard IR (InfraRed) sensor. This lets you place the amp out of sight while still maintaining full remote control – perfect if your system’s in a cabinet.

Give your listening experience a boost, with the Tangent Ampster BT II.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super small form factor amp A few months ago my CD player stopped working. After a bit of research I replaced it with the Tangent EXEO CD palyer. I din't need and could not really afford the matching amp. I am really pleased with this CD player. The improvemnt over my old one had to be heard to be believed. Fast forward a few months and I indulged myself by replacing the old tuner and the amplifier with Tangent Tuner II and Ampster BT II. I hoped that the remote controls would be compatible between the two systems but they are not. The amp just worked and it is excellect in my opinion. Again better than the old system. I ignored the critiacal reviews which said the reproduction was clinical rather than musical. I listen to mainly classica music (all genres) I find the amp gives a full rounded sound with plenty of bass for my listening. The tuner caused a few problems. I connected it to the little aerial wire supplied. All I got was noise aand a bit of burbling no matter how I orientated it. I tried it with my own indoor DAB aerial - a bit less noise but no useful signal. I was worried here because the old DAB set, relgated to the dining room, worked perfectly on the indoor aerial. In desperation I took a bit of old co-ax cable and connector and fixed an F type connector on the other end. I joined the co-ax end to my outside FM aerial and the F end to the Tuner. The DAB reception is perfect. I think my transmitter is at Belmont. The manuals contain a few pictures and some text describing the the knobs and connectors. That is all. The web versions are identical. They are almost useless. If you know a bit about Hifi and FM/DAB reception you should not have any trouble. If you are a complete beginner in this game then seek advice. You will not be disappointed. Conclusion. I am delighted with the outfit now the teething troubles are out of the way. I am looking forwards to enjoying listening to the radio and the hifi for the next several years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid device I needed a bluetooth amp to connect to my phone. The BT II does the job. It goes into sleep mode when I'm not using it and quickly fires up when it's needed. Good sound and it keeps out of my way. Just what I needed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stylish compact Bluetooth amp! Unfortunately the first unit (refurbished unit) came with a fault of no Bluetooth, spoke to after sales and unit was agreed to be swapped out with a new one. Excellent after sales service! Unit looks great really compact, and has a great sound (QED 3010 speakers). Bluetooth works well, optical input great for additional AppleTV input. Very pleased!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a great little amp... Hi, I have been using this amp for a couple of weeks now and I am still really impressed with it, the sound quality is excellent with plenty of punch. My set up is the Tangent Amp driving a pair of Mission Control One's, the 8 ohm version. Source is being played via Blutooth from a laptop at the moment but I am in the process of setting it up to use the Optical input driven from a Raspberry Pi fitted with a HiFiBerry Hat, I have a feeling that will be excellent as well! Really nice Amp...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better than others I don't know much about amps really but here's what I've noticed comparing this amp to the £119 TIBO TI 435 amp and more expensive Denon PMA30. Switching between the inputs is instant. I thought this would be a given, but the TIBO takes about a second inbetween input selections and announces it with a computer sounding voice. It has an auto-wake up mode which is perfect for my setup. I'm using this for TV and it's slightly inconvenient to have to switch an amp on just to hear the TV. With the auto wake up, it just comes on when the TV is switched on- like a soundbar I suppose. The Denon doesn't offer this. The sub-output is fine to my ears. I'm not too discerning a customer, but the TIBO's sub-out, for example, is not fit for purpose. All in all, it's a really nice, neat, well made little box that is not too extravagant for my modest needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An excellent piece of kit This is actually a dual review, one for the amp and another for Richer Sounds. I originally had the Tangent Ampster Mk 1, which developed a fault after 3 years of use (it happens). Unusually for me I had taken out an extended warranty. I contacted RicherSounds in Eton which was closed due to the lockdown. However I still received absolutely first class, no quibble service. My amp couldn't be repaired so I was supplied with brand new BT11. Gold star for service to RicherSounds. The Tangent Ampster BT11 is a much better beast than the Mk1. It adds superb, in depth sound to my TV and now has the addition of stepped control of bass and treble. The footprint is still very small for such a powerful device.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great features for a small unit I bought this a few weeks ago to supply some ceiling speakers in my new kitchen. Easy to set up and use. The purchase came after recommendation from richer sounds telesalesman and I am really pleased I followed his advise.
