Immense power
Thanks to its unique, hybrid Class-D amplifier, the Stereo 200 produces an immense 203 watts per channel (at 6 ohms). This is enough for high-level volume in even the largest domestic rooms. It also gives the Stereo 200 the power to drive inefficient speakers to their full ability – often getting a deeper bass response from smaller, but high quality, speakers.
High precision sound
Although this is a hard-hitting amplifier, Cyrus hasn’t forgotten about their reputation for precision and detail. Hand built in the UK, the Stereo 200 shows typical Cyrus attention to detail. Within the high quality casing is an oversized toroidal mains transformer and high output capacitors. Combined with the short signal path circuitry, this delivers typical Cyrus sound – dynamic, precise and with every detail finely etched.
Studio quality, XLR connections
As well as the more usual RCA phono inputs, the Stereo 200 also features balanced XLR connections. Use these with a matching Cyrus pre-amp, such as the DAC XP Signature and you’ll enjoy a studio quality, ultra-low noise connection. Balanced cables isolate outside noise, letting you enjoy a clearer signal – especially over longer lengths.

The die-cast casing is extremely solid and strongly resists both electrical and mechanical interference from surrounding sources. Superior Sound Quality
I have recently purchased the Cyrus Stereo 200 to use in conjunction with the Cyrus I9 XR amp in a Bi Amp configuration. The Chord Rumour speaker cable and Chord Shawline RC was purchased for system synergy. The staff at Richersounds in Preston were helpful throughout and went the extra mile to resolve a minor problem. The resulting sound is great! The Stereo 200 has brought my KEF R3’s to life. The 200 has taken over driving the low frequency whilst the I9 XR takes care of the high frequency. The clarity of the music is amazing, I’m hearing detail in the music I never knew was there. I definitely recommend the Stereo 200 and The Guys at Richersounds in Preston were great.
