If you love vinyl and want to maximise its sonic potential, the Cyrus Classic PHONO makes a great place to start. Featuring an advanced circuit design, with top quality components and power supply, sound quality is exceptional. What’s more, the Classic PHONO lets you connect up to four turntables and adjust the settings via remote control.
Connect up to four turntables
Ideal for the vinyl enthusiast, the Classic PHONO features no fewer than four turntable inputs. This makes it a perfect choice if you’re switching between, for example, your favourite turntables for classical, rock/pop music and DJ use.
Configure the input to optimise the sound
As with most higher quality phono pre-amps, this Cyrus lets you switch between MM (Moving Magnet) and MC (Moving Coil) cartridges. Taking this further, MC inputs are user configurable for gain. What’s more, this can be done in real time, via the remote control, letting you hear the change in sound ‘live’ as it happens. MC inputs are also configurable for resistance and capacitance.
Banish ‘cone wobble’ and ground hum
With a built-in warp filter, you can reduce the alarming sight of your bass woofers rapidly pulsating. A ground lift switch helps to eliminate system ground hum issues, letting you enjoy the music, even during the quietest moments.
Balanced XLR outputs for studio-grade connectivity
Fitted with both RCA (unbalanced) and XLR balanced outputs, the Classic PHONO offers the option of studio quality connection. If your amplifier has XLR inputs, then we’d highly recommend using the XLR connections, as these reduce interference, giving less distortion and a smoother sound – especially over longer cable runs.
Upgrade with the PSX-R2
The Cyrus PSX has become something of a hi-fi legend within its own lifetime and it’s not hard to see why.
